The Ironman National is officially in the books and it’s Chase Sexton who walks away as Champion in the 450 class. Hunter Lawrence and Aaron Plessinger finished second and third in the series, and both have to leave this season without any wins. Hunter won multiple first motos, but he never earned an overall win. Aaron Plessinger was close in the second moto today in Indiana, but Chase picked up the pace and managed to pull away and go 1-1 to seal the deal on his first 450 Outdoor title.

Red Bull KTM last won the 450 National Championship in 2015 with Ryan Dungey, and it’s Chase Sexton who brings the title back to the Austrian group. Chase also added to his win streak, now making it five in a row. As we head into the SMX Championship, the points will reset, and Chase Sexton will enter Charlotte SMX in two weeks with a three-point lead on Hunter Lawrence.

With Haiden Deegan claiming the top spot last weekend, the battle for second was on for Tom Vialle and Levi Kitchen. Levi held the momentum coming into Ironman after winning Spring Creek, Unadilla, and Budds Creek. Tom won the opening moto and Levi was second, but the difference maker was the second race when Levi crashed out and DNF’d, allowing the Frenchman to claim second in the points.
