Manuel Lettenbichler ‚made it‘ and more than impressive. From the start, he still had some competitors ahead of him on the fast terrace section. But as soon as it went into the right terrain, he grabbed one after the other. Before that, he took a short soil sample before he finally overtook his strongest competitor Mitch Brightmore at checkpoint four and did not look back. What happened in the meantime? As expected, the old master Graham Jarvis (51 years old) showed an incredible catch-up race after he had won from the second (!) starting row into the battle. For him, it was an incredible 10th place overall with 40 minutes (!) Behind Manuel Lettenbichler. His Stromer Jarv-E worked perfectly and played completely into his hands in this extraordinary terrain.

Less successful was the Briton Jonny Walker on his Triumph TE 250-E, with which he achieved an extraordinary driving performance. He had moved up to fourth place with his four-stroke and was able to hold on to CP14 (Sleeping Beauty Forest) with a gap of almost 2.5 minutes to Lettenbichler. But then he suddenly came back. Reason? He had damaged a radiator and unfortunately had to end the race prematurely.

Several riders stormed up from behind, including the US boy and KTM factory rider Trystan Hart, who even fought the mountain with Lettenbichler wheel to wheel at times until the Bavarian put in the afterburner and rode away. It was Mitch Brightmore’s turn, as was his brother Ashton and Sherco factory rider Teodor Kabakchiev, Austria’s Michael Walkner, up to South Africa’s James Moore and the first Stark Varg with Eddie Karlsson (without rear brake) and his British teammate Toby Martyn in tow. The Austrian hardenduro veteran Dieter Rudolf was also in the top 10 and massaged the mountain in his own way.

The new Segway sections, the Killing Leap and Dynamite as well as Lazy Noon, demanded everything from the riders but also from Manuel Lettenbichler. Letti had the problem that he had to lay the first lane at times and the ground did not really offer traction due to the loose top layer, so that he had to make several attempts at times. This made it a little easier for the pursuers, although no less strenuous, because a functioning track had already been laid. But it was still important for everyone to drive with foresight, weigh up lines and not damage the material, which only the best managed to do perfectly under time pressure.

Lettenbichler extended his lead to a comfortable level and finally reached the finish line after a total driving time of 3:05:39 hours with a lead of almost 8 minutes over Trystan Hart. With his fifth victory in a row, Manuel Lettenbichler draws level with another legend of the Erzberg: Taddy Blazusiak, who also won the race 5 times in a row from 2007 to 2011. And of course with Graham Jarvis – known as The G.O.A.T. (The Greatest of all times).

Behind Lettenbichler, a fierce battle for the remaining places on the podium broke out between Mitch Brightmore, Mario Roman, Teodor Kabakchiev (BG, Sherco), James Moore (RSA, Beta)- Between Brightmore, Roman, Kabakchiev and Moore, the places changed several times until Mario Roman finally prevailed thanks to a superior performance and finished the race in third place.

The performance of the electrically powered motorcycles was impressive. With Eddie Karlsson, Toby Martyn and Graham Jarvis, three electric motorcycles reached the finish of the toughest single-day race in the world for the first time. Eddie Karlson even rode without a rear brake, as he tore it off on a rock early in the race.

A total of 15 riders from 10 nations crossed the finish line at the Milwaukee Action Arena, including some riders such as James Moore, Ashton Brightmore, Eddie Karlsson, Lorenzo Gandola, Toby Martyn and Ryder LeBlond, who celebrated their first finish at the Red Bull Erzbergrodeo.

Three US boys also found their way to the finish: Ryder Leblond on P15 with only a few seconds left before the time limit of four hours, then Cody Webb on his YZF250X on P13, who made a brilliant catch-up race and of course on P2 Trystan Hart, who takes home valuable points for the HEWR. In total, 15 riders from 10 nations have reached the finish line.

Pol Tarrés also set a new personal record on his Yamaha Ténéré 700 and heaved the 190 kg two-cylinder monster up to CP19 (Chris Stony Party) – respect!

The Red Bull Erzbergrodeo is considered the toughest challenge on the Extreme Enduro scene, and the 35-kilometer circuit did not disappoint in 2026 either. In particular, the division of the legendary ‚Carl’s Dinner‘ section into two separate sections (checkpoint 10 and 22 of 27) caused the difficulty level for the 500 starters to rise significantly. The extremely selective terrain in the checkpoints ‚Blakläder Zentrum am Berg‘, ‚Wacker Neuson‘, ‚Speedweek Machine‘, ‚The SegWAY‘ and ‚Dynamite‘ demanded all their reserves from the participants from the start and ensured high tension until the end.

RED BULL ERZBERGRODEO 2026 – FINISHER

Hard Enduro World Ranking Top-15

Since the Red Bull Erzbergrodeo counts as the supreme race, in which the maximum number of points of 2,000 rating points is awarded to the winner, Manuel Lettenbichler takes the clear lead in the world rankings, followed by Trystan Hart and Mario Roman in second place with the same number of points.

‚With a rush of almost 57,000 visitors on all four days, the 30th edition of the Red Bull Erzbergrodeo was a great success. It’s actually unbelievable that we still exist 30 years after the first race in this globally unique location. Personally, I am very happy about the outstanding sporting performances of the players from all over the world, who served us an extremely exciting race. We will evaluate the entire event in the coming days and weeks, but I am happy about the sensational atmosphere in the visitor zones along the track and about the enormously positive cooperation with our partners and the many new sponsors, without whom the Red Bull Erzbergrodeo would not be possible,‘ organizer Karl Katoch draws a first, satisfied balance after the race.
