Der zweite Renntag bedeutet für Graham Jarvis erst einmal Führungsarbeit für insgesamt 110 Offroad-Kilometer, nachdem er am gestrigen Tag den Sieg eingefahren hat. Es wurde mit einer Fahrzeit von fünf Stunden gerechnet. Doch nicht nur Graham lehrte dem Veranstalter besseres und kämpften die 110 Kilometer Hardcore-Strecke in gerade einmal vier Stunden und 20 Minuten nieder.
Während sich die Top-Piloten um jeden Meter bekämpften hieß es für Taddy Blazusiak auf seiner GasGas zurück ins Camp. Er hatte bereits über starken Schmerzen in der Schulter am Service-Point geklagt, die seine fahrerischen Möglichkeiten derart stark einschränkten, so dass er für diesen Tag eine vorzeitige Zwangspause einlegen musste. Aber, er wird damit immer noch auf Platz 10 geführt – gut Besserung Taddy!
Taddy kämpft
Relativ frühzeitig im Rennverlauf hat Letti die Lücke zu Graham zugefahren und sie fuhren lange miteinander. Doch an einer sehr schwierigen Auffahrt nutzte Letti den Moment und fuhr auf und davon, um Graham einen Rückstand von über zwei Minuten aufzubrummen. Aber auch der Südafrikanische Sherco-Fahrer Wade Young nutzte die Chance und schob sich ebenfalls an Graham auf Rang zwei vorbei, obwohl er zwei Stürze zu verzeichnen hatte und die Strecke leichter als gestern empfand.
Billy Bolt in Reinkultur
Auch Billy Bolt war gut unterwegs und holte mächtig auf, aber plötzlich kam er an einem Steilhang von seiner Fußraste ab und rutsche sehr weit ins Tal hinunter. Gott sei Dank blieb sein Bike oben am Hang liegen, so dass nur er ein paar Blessuren abbekam und klettern musste, was aber auch ordentlich Zeit kostete, so seine Worte im Ziel.
Unser zweites deutsches Aushängeschild in der Gold-Klasse David Braun schaffte es an diesem Tag nur auf den 18. Platz, was ihn in der Gesamtwertung auf Platz 17 zurück wirft – trotzdem Glückwunsch für diese Leistung in der extrem harten Pro-Klasse.
Letti on a mission
Gold-Klasse – Romaniacs 2020 – Day 2
In der Gesamtwertung befindet sich Letti auf Platz 1 vor Graham Jarvis und Wade Young. Gefolgt von Alfredo Gomez und Billy Bolt – alle innerhalb eines 10-Minuten-Pakets. Erst Mario Roman auf Platz 6 macht eine größere Lücke mit fast 40 Minuten zur Spitze auf. Doch wie jeder weiß kann bei den Romaniacs noch alles passieren und erst am Schluss werden die Sieger gekürt.

Aus deutscher Sicht
Tim Apolle konnte auf seiner Sherco Rang 5 in der Silber-Klasse einfahren, während sich Thomas Arnold auf Platz 15 platzierte. Eddi Findling legt erneut in seiner Bronze-Klasse einen weiteren phänomenalen Tagessieg aufs Parkett. Alexander Gehlert platzierte sich drei Plätze dahinter. In der Iron-Klasse gehört am diesen Tag Roman Stieper Rang 8 und dahinter Marc Basseng.

For Graham Jarvis, the second day of the race means leadership work for a total of 110 off-road kilometers after he clinched victory yesterday. A driving time of five hours was expected. But not only Graham taught the organizer better and fought the 110 kilometer hardcore track in just four hours and 20 minutes.
While the top pilots fought each other for every meter, Taddy Blazusiak had to return to camp on his GasGas. He had already complained of severe pain in his shoulder at the service point, which restricted his driving capabilities so much that he had to take an early compulsory break for that day. But, he still ranks 10th!
Relatively early in the race, Letti closed the gap to Graham and they drove together for a long time. But on a very difficult uphill, Letti took advantage of the moment and drove off to make a gap of over two minutes. But the South African Sherco driver Wade Young also took the chance and pushed hard to pass Graham for a second place, although he had two crashes and found the track easier than yesterday. Billy Bolt was also doing well and was catching up a lot, but suddenly he came off his footrest on a steep slope and slide very far down into the valley. Thank goodness his bike stayed up on the track, so that only he got a few wounds and had to climb, which also took a lot of time, he said at the finish.

In the overall standings, Letti is in first place ahead of Graham Jarvis and Wade Young. Followed by Alfredo Gomez and Billy Bolt – all within a 10-minute package. Only Mario Roman in 6th place opens a larger gap with almost 40 minutes to the top. But as everyone knows, anything can happen at the Romaniacs and the winners are only announced at the end.
