Genright Off Road ist im Laufe der Jahre zum Synonym für Spitzenleistung im Offroad-Racing geworden. Aus diesem Grund zeigten sie sich 2019 bei King of the Hammers in einer brandneuen und noch nie dagewesenen ULTRA4-Rennmaschine. Liebevoll ‚The Unicorn‘ genannt, verfügt dieses einzigartige Rennauto über eine Einzelradaufhängung (IFS), die nicht auf Starrachsen wie bei herkömmlichen ULTRA4-Autos basierte. Trotz aller Vorteile hatte das Auto seine eigenen Problematiken, was das Team dazu zwang sich speziell and dessen Anforderung samt Fahrstil anzupassen. Die letzten zwei Jahre haben zu DNFs bei King of the Hammers für Team Genright geführt, aber tatsächlich sind sie alles andere als ausgefallen. 2020 war ein Jahr voller harter Arbeit, Lernkurven und Optimierungen am Auto, um letztendlich noch mehr herauszuholen als jemals zuvor. Hier sprechen Fahrer Jordan Pellegrino und Teammanager Tony Pellegrino über ihre Pläne für das King of the Hammers 2021 und was man alles dafür in die Waagschale schmeißt.
Genright Off Road has become synonymous with cutting edge performance in the dirt over the years. It’s why in 2019, they showed up to King of the Hammers in a brand new, never before seen style of ULTRA4 race machine. Affectionately dubbed, „The Unicorn“, this one of a kind race car features full independent suspension, relying on no solid axles like traditional ULTRA4 cars. For all it’s advantages, the car came with it’s own growing pains forcing the team to adapt quickly to an all new machine. The past two years have resulted in DNFs at King of the Hammers for Team Genright, however, they’re anything but down and out. 2020 was a year packed full of hard work and improvements made to the car and how the team works together to get more out of the car than ever before.
