Hitze, Trockenheit, neue Konkurrenten und eine auffallend hohe Leistungsdichte sorgten für Höchstspannung beim 4. Lauf zur deutschen Hardenduro Meisterschaft im Bayerischen Wald.
Satte 34 Grad bescherte den Fahrern nassgeschwitzte Helme, Kleidung und Stiefel bis hin zu kochenden Motoren. Mitverantwortlich waren hier nicht nur die Sonne, sondern auch neue schwere Abschnitte, die es in sich hatten. Mit Leon Hentschel kam ein Profi nach seiner einjährigen Verletzungspause zurück und begeisterte.
Der Ire und Gaststarter Jordan Scott auf seiner TM Racing holte sich den Prolog-Sieg und sorgt für internationale Vielfalt neben zahlreich gestarteten Tschechen und Österreichern. Doch gewertet wurde nur Fynn Hannemann als Meisterschaftsfahrer, der mit dem zweiten Platz seine beste Platzierung überhaupt einfuhr und damit die Top-Platzierung in der Gesamtwertung des Prolog Awards einnimmt.
134 Fahrer balgten sich um die Plätze fürs Finale während der zahlreichen Gruppenrennen. Wegen zu hoher Staubentwicklung und mangels Sicht verirrten sich einige Fahrer auf die kurze Prologstrecke und kamen nach nur sieben Minuten wieder zurück ins Ziel, so dass das Rennen abgebrochen werden musste. Nach dem man alles wieder geordnet wurde, gab es nach 15 Minuten Zwangspause einen Neustart, verkürzt auf 60 Minuten Fahrzeit, was auch für das zweite Gruppenrennen galt. Die üblichen Verdächtigen in Form von Felix Bähker und Marc Wulf sicherten sich jeweils den Gruppensieg. Auch Leon Hentschel überließ nichts dem Zufall und holte sich routiniert den sechsten Platz zum Finaleinzug.
Kevin Gallas musste seinen betagten luftgekühlten Honda-Youngtimer vorzeitig wegen Motorproblemen abstellen, was höchstwahrscheinlich auf die hohen Außentemperaturen zurückzuführen ist.
Und dann ging es endlich ins Finale. Der beim Erzbergrodeo 2023 begeisternde Felix Bähker fuhr plötzlich wie vom anderen Stern und setzte eine tadellose Siegesfahrt hin. Der Routinier Leon Hentschel, der erst seit drei Wochen wieder auf dem Motorrad sitzt holte sich den zweiten Platz gefolgt von Lenny Geretzky auf Platz drei.

Als nächste Härteprüfung geht es am 5.8.23 nach Gefrees, wo man technisch definitiv noch eine Schippe drauflegen wird.
Heat, dryness, new competitors and a remarkably high level of performance ensured maximum excitement at the 4th round of the German Hard Enduro Championship in the Bavarian Forest.
A whopping 34 degrees gave the drivers sweaty helmets, clothes and boots and even boiling engines. Not only the sun was partly responsible here, but also new difficult sections that were tough. With Leon Hentschel, a professional came back after a one-year injury break and inspired.
The Irishman and guest starter Jordan Scott on his TM Racing won the prologue and provided international diversity alongside numerous Czechs and Austrians who had started. But only Fynn Hannemann was counted as a championship driver, who achieved his best result ever with second place and thus took the top position in the overall ranking of the Prolog Awards.
134 riders fought for places in the finals during the numerous group races. Due to too much dust and lack of visibility, some drivers got lost on the short prologue route and came back to the finish after only seven minutes, so that the race had to be stopped. After everything was sorted again, there was a restart after a forced break of 15 minutes, shortened to 60 minutes driving time, which also applied to the second group race. The usual suspects in the form of Felix Bähker and Marc Wulf each secured group victory. Leon Hentschel also left nothing to chance and routinely took sixth place in the final.
Kevin Gallas had to park his aging air-cooled Honda youngtimer prematurely due to engine problems, most likely due to the high temperatures outside.
And then it was finally on to the final. Felix Bähker, who was enthusiastic at the Erzbergrodeo 2023, suddenly drove like he was from another planet and set off a flawless victory run. The veteran Leon Hentschel, who has only been back on the bike for three weeks, took second place, followed by Lenny Geretzky in third place.
