Vielsprechender Track-Check fürs SuperEnduro Riesa

Am Samstag, dem 6. Januar, ist es endlich wieder soweit. Dann wird in der ausverkauften WT Energiesysteme Arena Riesa mit dem neunten SuperEnduro Grand Prix of Germany wieder Geschichte geschrieben. Wie üblich wurde auch in diesem Jahr die Strecke am Freitag vor dem großen Spektakel getestet. Dafür auserkoren wurde diesmal unser deutscher Hoffnungsträger Manuel Lettenbichler.

„Das wird am Samstagabend ein sehr spannendes Racing werden, denn es sind ein paar Passagen drin, wie die Brückenauffahrt, die mit 14 Fahrern auf der Strecke sehr interessant werden dürften. Aber es ist für jeden dasselbe. Ich freue mich auf jeden Fall schon sehr, vor meinen ganzen Heim-Fans zu fahren“, meinte der Bayer kurz nach seinen ersten Runden noch leicht außer Atem.
Dazu fügte der 25-jährige Bayer vom Team KTM Red Bull Factory Racing an: „Die Strecke ist sehr flüssig und lässt sich gut fahren, aber sie ist auch sehr anspruchsvoll. Speziell die Treppe mit den großen Reifen und, wie gesagt, die Brücke sind Stellen, an denen man schnell einen Fehler machen kann.“ Zu seiner Zielstellung sagte er: „Ich werde natürlich mein Bestes geben, dann schauen wir mal was raus kommt. Die ersten zwei (Billy Bolt und Jonny Walker) werden schwierig zu schlagen werden, aber das Podium wäre schon lässig. Das ist auch wieder das Ziel. Schauen wir mal, was wird.“

Wenige Minuten vor den offiziellen Testrunden von Manuel Lettenbichler hatte unser zweiter Deutscher in der Top-Klasse Prestige, Tim Apolle aus dem Grenzgebiet Sachsen-Anhalt/Sachsen, ebenfalls die Chance, die Strecke zusammen mit dem Motocross-Profi Maximilian Spies für Go-Pro-Aufnahmen unter die Räder zu nehmen. Er fällte ein ganz ähnliches Urteil: „Die Strecke gefällt mir sehr gut. Ich denke, sie ist ein guter Mix aus anspruchsvollen Hindernissen und flüssigen Passagen. Von daher denke ich, dass sie für den Renn-Charakter sehr gut sein wird. Die Brücke hoch hat es in sich. Da könnte es zu so manchem Stau kommen. Bei den Runden, die ich gefahren bin, hatte ich viel Spaß.“
Sein Ziel fürs Rennen ist, „… dass ich Spaß habe und mit meiner Leistung zufrieden bin, der Rest kommt dann von allein. Die Platzierung ist wichtig, aber nicht alles. Wenn ich Siebenter werde, aber schlecht gefahren bin, werde ich unzufrieden sein. Wenn ich aber gute Rennen und gute Battle hatte, aber nur Achter werde, wäre ich trotzdem happy. Es gehört immer viel Glück dazu.“

Promising track check for the SuperEnduro Riesa

SuperEnduro Grand Prix of Germany made history again. As usual, this year the track was tested on the Friday before the big spectacle. This time our German hopeful Manuel Lettenbichler was chosen for this.

“It will be very exciting racing on Saturday evening because there are a few sections, like the bridge approach, which should be very interesting with 14 drivers on the track. But it’s the same for everyone. “I’m definitely looking forward to racing in front of all my home fans,” said the Bavarian, still slightly out of breath, shortly after his first laps.
The 25-year-old Bavarian from the KTM Red Bull Factory Racing team added: “The track is very fluid and easy to drive, but it is also very demanding. Especially the stairs with the big tires and, as I said, the bridge are places where you can quickly make a mistake.‘ Regarding his goal, he said: ‚I will of course do my best, then we’ll see what happens. The top two (Billy Bolt and Jonny Walker) will be difficult to beat, but the podium would be easy. That is the goal again. Let’s see what happens.”

A few minutes before Manuel Lettenbichler’s official test laps, our second German in the top Prestige class, Tim Apolle from the Saxony-Anhalt/Saxony border area, also had the chance to drive the track together with motocross professional Maximilian Spies for Go-Pro. to take recordings under the wheels. He made a very similar verdict: “I really like the route. I think it’s a good mix of challenging obstacles and flowing passages. So I think it will be very good for the racing character. The bridge is tough. There could be a lot of traffic jams. I had a lot of fun with the laps I did.”
His goal for the race is “… to have fun and be satisfied with my performance, the rest will take care of itself. Placement is important, but not everything. If I finish seventh but drove badly, I will be unhappy. But if I had good races and a good battle but only finished eighth, I would still be happy. There’s always a lot of luck involved.”
