I finally tackled Cape York and the legendary Old Telegraph Track after years of putting it off. Honestly, I expected crowds, queues, overhyped tracks and disappointment. Instead, Cape York completely surprised me. From Palm Creek and Gunshot to river crossings, recoveries and some of the best four wheel driving I’ve done, this trip delivered far more than I expected. We also put the Ineos Grenadier Quartermaster and half-canopy setup through one of Australia’s most iconic off-road adventures. In this video I look back on the trip, the mistakes, the highlights, the Telegraph Track, vehicle performance, camping setup and whether Cape York is actually worth the hype.
