1. Wie fühlst du dich in deinem ersten Rennen nach 10 Monaten ohne Wettkämpfe? Nervös? Ängstlich? Bist du schon bereit, den Gashahn voll zu öffnen und loszulegen?
„Ich fühle mich gut und bin bereit endlich zurück zu kommen! Ich habe es vermisst bei den Rennen dabei zu sein, also ist es großartig endlich wieder auf dem Bike zu sitzen und ich kann es kaum erwarten loszulegen. 10 Monate ohne Racing ist einfach viel zu lange. “
2. Knie: Bist du wieder zu 100%?
„Leider immer noch nicht zu 100%. Laut den Ärzten wird es wahrscheinlich noch bis zu einem Jahr nach der Operation dauern, bis alles ausgeheilt ist.“
3. Hast du persönliche Erwartungen an dieses erste Rennen?
„Ich möchte rausgehen und mein Bestes geben. Am Ende des Tages möchte ich stolz auf meine erbrachte Leistung sein, mit dem Gefühl alles gegeben zu haben. Natürlich möchte ich gewinnen, aber ich denke es ist am Besten sich erst einmal wieder auf’s Racing einzulassen, um zu sehen wo ich stehe.“
4. Wie kommst du mit der SHERCO zurecht?
„Ich bin mit dem Wechsel zu Sherco sehr zufrieden. Ich habe mich sofort auf dem Bike wohlgefühlt und es funktioniert perfekt fürs Extreme Gelände. Auf Hardenduro war in der letzter Zeit mein Hauptaugenmerk gelegt, wobei mir die Motorcharakteristik und das Kayaba-Fahrwerk dabei vieles erleichtert hat. “
5. Was ist deine Routine vor dem Rennen?
„Nichts Verrücktes. Kein seltsamer Aberglaube oder so. Nur eine schönes Stretching, um mich zu fokussieren.“

CODY WEBB (SHERCO USA) INTERVIEW before KING OF MOTOS
Johnson Valley, CA– FactoryONE Sherco are taking on the Progressive King of the Motos this weekend in what will be the teams first official event on the extreme off-road side. Team riders competing are Cody Webb, Louise Forsley, Quinn Wentzel and Grayson Gonsalves. Additionally, ShercoUSA Western Sales Manager Mitch Carvolth and FactoryONE Sherco team manager Wayne Dickert, will join the others in the
pro class.
Five quick questions and answers from Cody Webb on his return to racing:
1. How are you feeling coming into your first race after 10 months of no competitions? Nervous? Anxious? Just ready to twist the throttle and go?
“Feeling dialed and ready to get back after it! I missed being at the races and that whole environment, so it’s great to be back and I can’t wait. 10 months of no racing so it’s been far too long.”
2. Knee: are you back to 100%?
“Still not 100%. According to the doctor, it will probably be over a full year after surgery before we are fully recovered.”
3. Do you have any personal expectations for this first race back?
“I want to go out and do the best I can. At the end of the day, I want to be proud of the effort I put in and know I gave it my all. Of course I want to win, but I think it’s best to ease back into it and get this racing thing figured out again.”
4. How have you adapted to the new Sherco?
“I’ve been super happy with the switch to Sherco. I was comfortable with the bike right away and it works so well for extreme riding. Hard enduro has been my main focus lately and the motor and chassis has made my transition back into riding so much easier. “
5. What is your pre-race routine? (without giving away any secrets)
“Nothing crazy for me. No weird superstitions or anything. Just a nice stretch to limber up.”

Team FactoryONE is a multi-time United States AMA championship observed trials team and newly formed enduro team led by some of the top riders in the business. The Trials team is led by 11x AMA Champion Pat Smage (Smah-gee) on the men’s side; and 6x AMA Champion Louise Forsley (fours-lee) on the Women’s side. The trials team consists of 10 riders.
