Yes, the Italians are going full throttle and that too in the all-rounder segment. In other words, no high-legged sports enduro in the factory version or a trial machine, which strictly speaking does not do justice to the term all-round enduro. Of course, we are talking about the new XTrainer model range Made in Florence.

No other model in this all-round class has been as convincing as the XTrainer from Betamotor. For this reason, too, the concept with low seat height, adapted chassis and extremely easy-to-use engine characteristics is being stuck to and skilfully developed.

For the 2027 model year, the classic XTrainer 300 2T will be joined by the small 200. Anyone who has already driven the 200cc engine in full beast mode in the sports enduros should quickly be able to recognize the potential in the XTrainer. More torque than a 125cc and not as snappy as a 250cc.

This means that the 250 XTrainer will disappear from the market again in 2026 and will be replaced by the smaller sister model. At the same time, the price has also been reduced by 100 euros, which the customer should certainly be happy about in these increasingly expensive times!

Innovations XTrainer 300 2027
- None – it goes into the new model year essentially unchanged

Highlights XTrainer 200 2027
There are no innovations here, as it is the debut year with a 200cc engine. The affable character, the playful handling and its manoeuvrability as well as the extremely low weight of only 97.5 kilograms (dry weight) should certainly be emphasized.
- Revised exhaust and intake ports: The reduction of the exhaust and intake ports for higher gas velocities at low speeds allows for an increase in cylinder filling
- Cylinder head: New design to improve combustion efficiency at low and medium speeds
- Compression ratio with a whopping 14.4:1
- Pistons: A longer piston profile for improved torque in the lower rev range
- Reduced rate clutch springs to optimize operating forces
- Retuned exhaust control for smooth throttle response and delivery
- Low-speed ignition pre-adjustment to increase torque, and a more controlled response
- New airbox nozzle to reduce unwanted fuel-air turbulence
- Retention of XTrainer geometry
- 140/80 R18 tires on 1.85′ rim, for maximum handling
Beta’s XTrainer models have always been a base that allows beginners to enter the enduro world very easily. But many ambitious pilots also use the XTrainers to train for demanding passages, as the low weight, low seat height and smooth response of the engine are extremely helpful in such situations. Of course, the price structure is also extremely interesting. There is currently no direct competition. Only KTM had an equal product with the freeride models, but they have since been taken out of the range. However, there is currently still an e-bike version for 10,000 euros on the base of it.

Prices 2027 (Germany)
