Enduro, motocross, adventure, or factory-backed competition in the premier class. The Chinese are really making their mark and entering the cut-throat world of the global elite, which is predominantly dominated by Japanese and European products. How long do you think it will take before the Chinese are right up there with the best? But first things first.

Let’s start with the partial successes at the Paris-Dakar Rally by the American Mason Klein, backed by a factory team, who delivered an impressive performance on the KOVE 450 Rally EX, but still had to contend with various technical teething problems.

In contrast, all of the purebred KOVE factory riders finished the 2025 Dakar, albeit further back in the field. By 2026, nearly ten privateers were already competing with a KOVE 450 Rally. What’s even more interesting is the extremely attractive price at which the KOVE 450 Rally EX Replica is offered—well under 20,000 euros.

Then the road-legal version 450 Rally RE came on the market with a curb weight of 155 kilograms and a registered 42.2 hp, 32 liter tank volume for just under 10,000 euros. More power is easily possible with a racing kit, which can only be used for sporting purposes, otherwise the road approval will expire in some countries.

Meanwhile, the Kove 800X Rally also entered the stage and revolutionized the adventure and hobby rally scene with an curb weight of just over 170 kilograms, 20 liter tank and a purchase price of just over 10,000 euros. Plus, of course, plenty of suspension travel with a stroke of up to 270 millimeters on the front wheel.

If you want something a little more civilized, you can choose the 800X Pro, which also scores with a 2-person approval and the usual gimmicks in this class such as cruise control and a very interesting price.

Then we still have the motocross segment with the Kove MX450 Cross R and MX250 Cross R, which are already easily available. The little 250 has already been spotted undergoing extensive testing in Belgium. In other words, exactly where the current elite carries out its development and coordination work. This suggests that the Chinese have real ambitions for 2027 and are not taking this racing project lightly. After all, there is a not entirely unknown person at the start in the form of manager Tom Steensels, who will also oversee Kove’s project.

It will be absolutely exciting to see what the mint-colored factory bikes can achieve in the world championship 2027. Of course, you have to admit that they won’t be right at the top spots, but every manufacturer should be granted this time of self-discovery at such a high level.

In normal MX life you also know how to bribe and send the two MX bikes into the race for 6,490 euros each. This is an announcement that will convince one or the other relatively quickly, while the skeptics, as usual, still need some time to think about it and practical running time to help them make a decision. A lot is already happening with regards to the dealer network, because a lot of new distributors take care for a good dealer network worldwide. And here are a few key data about the Crosser, which sounds very promising:

And that’s not all, as Kove has already announced other projects and upgrades. How long will it actually take for KOVE to become a force in the motorcycle market or are they already one? If the Chinese continue to work at this rate, they could become very big pretty quickly. And we haven’t even taken into account the street segment with Road, Racing and Classic. Because there big steps are being taken forward, already. And Kove is starting in the US its first SXS steps…

KOVE completed the move to a new motorcycle factory in August this year, marking the latest step in the company’s organizational and technical development. This is where product development, vehicle testing and production processes are combined in a larger work environment.

The new system enables more accurate cross-team evaluation of test results, technical changes and production feedback. This strengthens the connection between technical development and manufacturing so that product decisions can move through the development cycle more effectively.

“Performance is developed through continuous testing and iteration,” said Bo, product director at KOVE. ‚A test result only creates value if it can be translated into a technical decision and transferred to the finished motorcycle. The new facility supports this process as our team and our product portfolio continue to grow.‘
