Am letzten Januarwochenende feierte das Unimog-Museum seine Wiedereröffnung mit einem umfangreichen Rahmenprogramm für Jung und Alt. Die Ausstellungsfläche hat sich durch einen Anbau verdoppelt und bietet nun mehr als genug Platz für die Erstausstellung „Das Beste aus dem Unimog-Museum“, viele spektakuläre Fahrzeuge und ein breites Angebot zum Staunen und Erleben.
Das Unimog-Museum in Gaggenau erweitert sich nach einer zweijährigen Bauzeit um eine etwa zehn Meter hohe Halle. Der Neubau mit viel Holz und Glas vergrößert die Ausstellungsfläche um 1.100 Quadratmeter und bietet zusätzlichen Platz auf einer Empore. Das Museum kann nun fast alle Baureihen des Unimog und des Traktors MB-trac aus verschiedensten Anwendungsbereichen zur Neueröffnung präsentieren. In manchen Fahrerhäusern können Besucher sich selbst ans Steuer setzen und ein Gefühl für den motorisierten Arbeitseinsatz mit dem Universal-Motor-Gerät bekommen. Im Außenbereich haben die Besucher die Möglichkeit, eine rasante Mitfahrt im Geländeparcours mit Steigungen über 90% und Schräglage zu erleben. Das Ausstellungskonzept umfasst auch neue digitale Exponatstelen und eine Schnitzeljagd mit dem eigenen Smartphone. Ergänzt wird die Unimog-Ausstellung durch eine Dauerausstellung im Neubau über den Automobilbau in Gaggenau von 1894 bis heute.
Zahlreiche Besucher bei Eröffnungsfeier mit Rahmenprogramm
Am vergangenen Wochenende öffnete das Unimog-Museum seine Pforten im Rahmen einer zweitägigen Eröffnungsfeier wieder für alle Interessierten. Die insgesamt etwa 1200 Besucher nahmen an Führungen zu den Fahrzeugen aus neun Jahrzehnten teil oder erkundeten die Attraktionen mit der digitalen Schnitzeljagd. In seiner Eröffnungsrede sagte Christof Florus, Oberbürgermeister der Stadt Gaggenau: „Das Unimog-Museum ist ein Glanzstück im ganzen Murgtal und weit darüber hinaus – und ab heute strahlt es doppelt so hell in die weite Welt. Privat, ehrenamtlich und in Vereinsträgerschaft so etwas auf die Beine zu stellen: Da kann man wirklich nur den Hut ziehen.“
Ein Besuch dieses außergewöhnlichen Automobil-Museums lohnt sich auf alle Fälle.

The Unimog exhibition is supplemented by a permanent exhibition in the new building on automobile construction in Gaggenau from 1894 to the present day.
Numerous visitors at the opening ceremony with supporting program
Last weekend, the Unimog Museum reopened its doors to anyone interested in a two-day opening ceremony. The approximately 1200 visitors took part in guided tours of the vehicles from nine decades or explored the attractions with the digital scavenger hunt. In his opening speech, Christof Florus, mayor of the city of Gaggenau, said: ‚The Unimog Museum is a highlight in the entire Murg Valley and far beyond – and from today it shines twice as brightly into the wide world.
