Nach großer Vorfreude wird der brandneue Toyota Land Cruiser Prado offiziell in Südafrika zum Verkauf angeboten. In seiner neuesten Version wurde die DNA des legendären Land Cruiser mit neuen Technologien kombiniert, um ein höheres Leistungsniveau zu bieten – sowohl im Gelände als auch im Alltagsgebrauch.
Mehr als 70 Jahre nach der Einführung des ursprünglichen Toyota BJ kehrt der brandneue Land Cruiser Prado zu seinen Ursprüngen zurück und konzentriert sich dabei auf seine Kernqualität als ein Fahrzeug, dem Sie vertrauen können, wenn es Sie an Ihr Ziel und nach Hause bringt auch unter härtesten Bedingungen.
Der neue Land Cruiser Prado wird von einem 150 kW starken 2,8-Liter-Turbodieselmotor angetrieben, der mit einem neuen Achtgang-Direct-Shift-Automatikgetriebe kombiniert ist und ihm die Kraft verleiht, Lasten von bis zu 3500 kg zu ziehen. Der Innenraum bietet die Wahl zwischen Konfigurationen mit fünf oder sieben Sitzen und einem Design, das an die Stärke und Funktionalität eines authentischen Offroaders erinnert.
Die drei Varianten der Prado-Reihe bieten die robuste Leistungsfähigkeit, die einem Land Cruiser-Namen würdig ist, mit erheblichen Verbesserungen bei Fahrverhalten, Technologie und Design. Die TX-Variante bildet eine solide Spezifikationsgrundlage; Ausgestattet mit einer vollständig mit Leder gepolsterten Kabine und Beifahrersitzheizung.
Der VX-R wiederum verfügt über zahlreiche Funktionen – darunter einen digitalen Rückspiegel und einen größeren Infotainment-Bildschirm. Die First Edition ist der Höhepunkt der brandneuen Land Cruiser-Reihe und nur in begrenzter Stückzahl und für einen begrenzten Zeitraum erhältlich.
Die First Edition ist dank der klassischen runden Scheinwerfer im Vergleich zur rechteckigen Form der anderen Modelle leicht vom TX und VX-R zu unterscheiden.

Following eager anticipation, the all-new Toyota Land Cruiser Prado is officially on sale in South Africa. In its latest iteration, legendary Land Cruiser DNA has been combined with new technologies to deliver higher levels of performance – both off-road and in everyday use.
More than 70 years on from the launch of the original Toyota BJ, the all-new Land Cruiser Prado is returning to its origins with a focus on its core quality as a vehicle you can trust to take you to your destination, and bring you home again, even in the toughest conditions.
The new Land Cruiser Prado is powered by a 150kW 2.8-litre turbodiesel engine matched to a new eight-speed Direct Shift automatic transmission, giving it the power to pull loads up to 3500kg. The interior offers a choice of five or seven-seat configurations, with a design that evokes the strength and functionality of an authentic off-roader.
The three-variant Prado range brings the rugged capability worthy of a Land Cruiser name, with major improvements to driveability, technology and design. The TX variant sets a solid specification foundation; featuring a fully leather-upholstered cabin and passenger seat heating.
The VX-R in turn adds a host of features – including a digital rear-view mirror and a larger infotainment screen. The First Edition is the pinnacle of the all-new Land Cruiser line-up, available only in limited numbers and for a limited period.
The First Edition is easily distinguishable from the TX and VX-R, courtesy of the classic round headlamps versus the rectangular shape found in the other models.
