The weight reductions relate exclusively to operating and fastening elements and not to unsprung or rotating masses. This reduces the overall mass and thus the overall inertia of the vehicle, which increases agility during quick transitions and changes of direction and optimizes the weight relief of the front wheel.
Through a combination of anodizing, powder coating and other deep black surface treatments, every possible component is given an inconspicuous black finish: the upper and lower fork clamps, the steering shaft and the mounting nut, the swing arm, the motor housing and the side covers, the inverter and housing, the docking station, the mapping switch on the handlebars and the charging port cap.
The 520 RK MXU chain retains its gold finish while the 7075 T6 sprocket has been left without black treatment, making it the only element that stands out.
