Nach der ersten, von insgesamt fünf Runden mit je zwei Sonderprüfungen, lag der 23-Jährige bereits schon wieder mit zwanzig Sekunden in Front. Doch danach war zunächst erst einmal Schluss, da auf der SP1 ein Fahrer gestürzt war und medizinisch versorgt werden musste. Nach einer gut halbstündigen Unterbrechung ging die Zeitenjagd schließlich weiter. „Das war eine ungewohnte Situation“, gibt Jeremy Sydow offen zu, der zu jenem Zeitpunkt bereits voll konzentriert am Start der Sonderprüfung stand, aber nicht einfahren durfte. „Als es dann schließlich weiter ging, musste ich mich kurz sammeln und neu fokussieren. Aber der Test lief gut. Etwas kritischer war hingegen der Enduro-Test in der erste Runde“. Jene Sonderprüfung, die am heutigen Tag in entgegengesetzter Richtung gefahren wurde. „Da hatte ich einen Schreckmoment, als ich dann doch einmal in eine verkehrte Spur abgebogen bin und so zwischen eng stehenden Bäumen stand. Nichts Wildes, aber eben nicht optimal“, berichtet das Sherco-Ass, für das es dennoch zur absoluten Bestzeit reichte. „Gegen Ende des Tages habe ich dann meinen Rhythmus gefunden und konnte im letzten Test noch einmal eine wirkliche Top-Zeit raushauen. Darüber habe ich mich sehr gefreut“, so der Tagessieger, der selbstredend auch die Siegertrophäe der Klasse E1 in Empfang nehmen durfte.
Zweiter wurde erneut Franz Löfquist, der das breite Grinsen gar nicht mehr aus seinem Gesicht heraus bekam. „Ein absolut unglaubliches Wochenende! Ich kann es noch gar nicht so recht realisieren, einfach fantastisch“, jubelt der Schwede, der abermals in der Championatswertung Rang zwei belegte und die Klasse E2 gewann. „Der Klassensieg ist schon sehr cool. Aber das große Ziel ist immer, im Championat ganz vorn zu landen. Ich habe hier in Großlöbichau einen riesigen Schritt in die richtige Richtung gemacht!“
Chris Gundermann, oder wie er zur Siegerehrung so passend angekündigt wurde, der schnellste Enduro-Fahrer Thüringens, belegte erneut den dritten Rang in der Tageswertung. „Wenn ein Platz in den Top Drei der Championatswertung heraus springt, dann war es immer ein guter Tag“, lacht der KTM-Hüne, dessen Plan voll und ganz aufging. „Ich habe mir vorgenommen, in den ersten beiden Runden gleich wieder ordentlich Gas zu geben, um einen Puffer herauszufahren. Das hat wieder hervorragend geklappt. Danach habe ich meinen Vorsprung nach hinten gut verwalten können. Nach vorn war ehrlicherweise nicht mehr drin. Dafür waren Franz und natürlich Jeremy einfach viel zu stark unterwegs“, zieht der 31-Jährige vor der Leistung der beiden seinen Hut!
Matyas Chlum überzeugte mit Rang vier und dem Tagessieg in der E3. Noch am Vortag ging der Tscheche förmlich unter, platzierte sich weit außerhalb der Top Zehn. „Gestern hatte ich den kompletten Tag mit harten Armen zu kämpfen. Da ging gar nichts. Heute lief es zum Glück deutlich besser. Ein absolut versöhnlicher Abschluss, an den ich schon gar nicht mehr so recht geglaubt habe“, freut sich der Sherco-Fahrer.
Rang fünf belegte Davide von Zitzewitz, der ganz nüchtern, aber mit einem Lachen feststellt: „Sprint-Enduros sind einfach nicht mein Ding, da bin ich immer viel zu langsam.“ Hinter dem KTM-Fahrer lieferte der Tscheche Jaroslav Kalny auf Sherco mit Rang sechs abermals eine starke Vorstellung. Auf den weiteren Rängen folgten Edward Hübner (KTM), die beiden GasGas-Fahrer Yanik Spachmüller und Robert Riedel sowie Leonard Koch, der die Top Zehn der heutigen Overall-Wertung komplettierte. Zudem durfte sich der Husqvarna-Fahrer erneut über den Klassensieg bei den internationalen Junioren freuen. Die nationale Junioren-Klasse gewann Felix Melnikoff. In der Mannschaftswertung setzte sich erneut das Trio vom Team ADAC Niedersachsen / Sachsen-Anhalt, in der Besetzung Franz Löfquist, Davide von Zitzewitz und Robert Friedrich durch. Auf den Rängen zwei und drei folgten die Teams von ADAC Sachsen und ADAC Pfalz.
Im B-Championat stand heute ein ganz neues Gesicht auf dem obersten Treppchen. Luis Winkler siegte völlig überraschend vor Nic Matthias und Paul-Erik Huster. „Das kam ehrlicherweise komplett unerwartet. Ich glaube, meine beste Platzierung zuvor war Rang sieben“, muss er selbst kurz überlegen. Aber es waren einfach meine Bedingungen. Harter Boden, dann eng durch den Wald, das war einfach meins“, lacht der KTM-Fahrer, der seinen Erfolg erst einmal verdauen musste.
Ebenso ein Erfolg war die DEM-Premiere in Großlöbichau. Der gastgebende MSTC Gembdental e.V. im ADAC hat wirklich großartige Arbeit geleistet, die im ganzen Fahrerlager gebührend honoriert wurde.

After the first of a total of five laps, each with two special stages, the 23-year-old was already back in the lead by twenty seconds. But after that it was over for the time being because a driver fell on the SP1 and had to receive medical attention. After a half-hour break, the hunt for times finally continued. “It was an unusual situation,” admits Jeremy Sydow, who at that point was already fully concentrated at the start of the special stage but was not allowed to enter. “When it finally continued, I had to briefly collect myself and refocus. But the test went well. The enduro test in the first round, however, was a little more critical.” The special stage that was driven in the opposite direction today. “I had a moment of shock when I turned into the wrong lane and found myself standing between closely spaced trees. Nothing wild, but not ideal,” reports the Sherco ace, who still managed to achieve the absolute best time. “Towards the end of the day I found my rhythm and was able to achieve a really top time in the last test. I was very happy about that,” said the day’s winner, who was of course also able to receive the winner’s trophy for class E1.
Second place went again to Franz Löfquist, who couldn’t get the big grin off his face. “An absolutely incredible weekend! I can’t really realize it yet, it’s just fantastic,‘ says the Swede, who once again took second place in the championship standings and won the E2 class. “Winning the class is really cool. But the big goal is always to finish at the top of the championship. I have taken a huge step in the right direction here in Großlöbichau!”
Chris Gundermann, or as he was so appropriately announced at the award ceremony, the fastest enduro rider in Thuringia, once again took third place in the daily ranking. “If you get a place in the top three of the championship standings, then it was always a good day,” laughs the KTM giant, whose plan completely worked. “I decided to accelerate again in the first two laps to create a buffer. That worked brilliantly again. After that I was able to manage my lead well behind. To be honest, there wasn’t any more room to go forward. “Franz and of course Jeremy were just way too strong for that,” the 31-year-old takes off his hat to their performance!
Matyas Chlum impressed with fourth place and the day’s victory in the E3. The day before, the Czech literally went under, placing well outside the top ten. “Yesterday I struggled with hard arms the entire day. Nothing worked at all. Luckily today things went much better. An absolutely conciliatory conclusion that I no longer really believed in,” says the Sherco driver happily.
Fifth place went to Davide von Zitzewitz, who stated soberly but with a laugh: “Sprint enduros are just not my thing, I’m always way too slow.” Behind the KTM rider, the Czech Jaroslav Kalny on Sherco delivered with the rank six again a strong performance. Edward Hübner (KTM), the two GasGas riders Yanik Spachmüller and Robert Riedel as well as Leonard Koch, who completed the top ten in today’s overall ranking, followed in the other ranks. The Husqvarna driver was also able to celebrate his class victory in the international juniors again. Felix Melnikoff won the national junior class. In the team ranking, the trio from the ADAC Niedersachsen / Saxony-Anhalt team, consisting of Franz Löfquist, Davide von Zitzewitz and Robert Friedrich, once again prevailed. The teams from ADAC Saxony and ADAC Pfalz followed in second and third place.
In the B Championship there was a completely new face on the top podium today. Luis Winkler won, completely surprisingly, ahead of Nic Matthias and Paul-Erik Huster. “To be honest, this was completely unexpected. “I think my best previous placement was seventh,” he has to think for a moment. But it was just my conditions. Hard ground, then narrow through the forest, that was just me,” laughs the KTM rider, who first had to digest his success.
The DEM premiere in Großlöbichau was also a success. The host MSTC Gembdental e.V. in the ADAC did a really great job, which was duly rewarded throughout the paddock.
