Nach Abschluss der technischen und administrativen Abnahme besteht die offizielle Starterliste aus 418 Rennfahrzeugen: 132 Motorräder (darunter 28 Original by Motul-Fahrer ohne fremde Hilfe), davon 30 Teilnehmer am W2RC, 10 Quads, die alle am W2RC teilnehmen, 70 Autos in der Ultimate-Kategorie, darunter 22, die am W2RC teilnehmen, 3, die an der Stock-Klasse teilnehmen, 42, die an der Challenger-Klasse teilnehmen, davon 12, die am W2RC teilnehmen, 36 SSV, darunter 12 W2RC-Teilnehmer, und 47 Trucks. Es gibt 130 „Rookies“, während 133 Fahrer, Fahrer und Co-Piloten der Kategorie „Legends“ zum zehnten Mal oder öfter teilnehmen werden. Das Feld umfasst 27 weibliche Teilnehmer. Was die Anzahl der vertretenen Nationalitäten betrifft, dominiert Frankreich mit 124 Konkurrenten vor Spanien (84) und den Niederlanden (62), den gleichen drei Nationalitäten wie im letzten Jahr.
Jeden Abend werden sie im Biwak von den 78 Fahrzeugen begleitet, die an der 4. Ausgabe der Dakar Classic teilnehmen, zu der allein eine Karawane von 170 Teilnehmern zählt.
Insgesamt nehmen 770 Teilnehmer ihre Startplätze für die 46. Ausgabe der Dakar entgegen.
Die zweite Saison des W2RC beginnt morgen mit 86 teilnehmenden Fahrzeugen.
Die Mission 1000-Herausforderung , die alternativ angetriebenen Fahrzeugen die Möglichkeit bietet, das Gelände der Dakar über überschaubare Distanzen zu bewältigen, betrifft sechs Motorräder, vier Autos und einen LKW.
On completion of technical and administrative scrutineering, the official list of starters is made up of 418 race vehicles: 132 bikes (including 28 Original by Motul unassisted bikers) with 30 taking part in the W2RC, 10 quads, all participating in the W2RC, 70 cars in the Ultimate category including 22 taking part in the W2RC, 3 in the Stock class, 42 in the Challenger class, 12 of which are participating in the W2RC, 36 SSV including 12 W2RC participants, and 47 Trucks. There are 130 “rookies”, while 133 riders, drivers and co-pilots classed as “Legends” will take part for the 10th time or more. The field includes 27 women participants. As regards the number of nationalities represented, France dominates with 124 competitors, in front of Spain (84) and the Netherlands (62), the same top three nationalities as last year.
Each evening at the bivouac, they will be joined by the 78 vehicles taking part in the 4th edition of the Dakar Classic, which alone boasts a caravan of 170 competitors.
In total, 770 competitors will take starters’ orders for the 46th edition of the Dakar.
The second season of the W2RC will start tomorrow with 86 vehicles participating.
Finally, the Mission 1000 challenge, which offers alternatively powered vehicles the possibility of tackling the terrains encountered on the Dakar over more manageable distances, will concern 6 bikes, 4 cars and 1 truck.
