Alpinestars ist der führende Anbieter von Motorrad-Airbags. 2009 hat man den Tech-Air® Race im MotoGP eingeführt . Der Tech-Air® Off Road ist seit 2019 State of the Art bei der Dakar. Und jetzt kommt der Tech-Air® MX, der einen umfassenden und effektiven Airbag-Schutz für den Oberkörper in einem kompakten Brustprotektor integriert. Das Tech-Air® MX System bietet passiven Schutz der CE-Stufe 1 für Brust und Rücken. Zusätzlich bietet der Airbag, wenn er aufgeblasen ist, einen aktiven Schutz der Stufe CE LEVEL 1 am Rücken, der einen viermal höheren Schutzgrad bietet als ein klassischer Wirbelsäulenprotektor. Im aufgeblasenen Zustand sind Schultern, Brust und Rücken geschützt.
Dabei kann der Fahrer zwischen drei verschiedenen Fahrmodis wechseln: Das heißt jeder Fahrmodi verfügt über einen eigenen Algorithmus, wie und wann das System einen Aufprall erkennen und abhängig der Fahrweise den Airbag auslösen soll. Dieses kann über ein LED-Display oder über die Tech-Air-App voreingestellt werden. Die Aufblaszeit beträgt dabei zirka 40 Millisekunden. Geben wir d es das Tech-Air® MX System in den Größen S bis 2XL und kann insgesamt sechsmal ausgelöst werden, bis der Airbag selbst ausgetauscht werden muss. Die ECU mit drei Beschleunigungssensoren, drei Gyroskope werden über einen Lithium-Ionen-Akku 30 Stunden lange versorgt und muss dann für eine volle Ladung zirka vier Stunden mittel USB-C-Stecker ans Netz. Ein Preis ist bislang noch nicht bekannt. Doch zum Vergleich: Der Tech-Air® Off Road kostet 999,95 Euro.
Alpinestars is the leading supplier of motorcycle airbags. In 2009 the Tech-Air® Race was introduced in MotoGP. The Tech-Air® Off Road has been state of the art at the Dakar since 2019. And now comes the Tech-Air® MX, which integrates comprehensive and effective airbag protection for the upper body in a compact chest protector. The Tech-Air® MX system provides CE Level 1 passive protection for the chest and back. Additionally, when inflated, the airbag provides CE LEVEL 1 active protection on the back, providing a level of protection four times higher than a classic spine protector. When inflated, the shoulders, chest and back are protected.
The driver can switch between three different driving modes: This means that each driving mode has its own algorithm for how and when the system should detect an impact and trigger the airbag depending on the driving style. This can be preset via an LED display or via the Tech Air app. The inflation time is around 40 milliseconds. We offer the Tech-Air® MX system in sizes S to 2XL and can be triggered a total of six times until the airbag itself needs to be replaced. The ECU with three acceleration sensors and three gyroscopes are powered by a lithium-ion battery for 30 hours and then has to be connected to the mains via a USB-C plug for around four hours to be fully charged. A price is not yet known. But for comparison: The Tech-Air® Off Road costs 999.95 euros.
