Billy Bolt was third and set the fastest lap of the race on the final lap, 12:48.92. Mitch Brightmore finished fourth, ahead of the two Junior title contenders.
RESULTS DAY 3
JUNIOR WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
Ashton Brightmore beat James Moore in Friday’s SuperEncierro and Saturday’s sprint, so Sunday came down to which of them finished in front. Brightmore was almost two minutes up after two laps. Moore had the time back by the sixth, and after eight laps less than two seconds separated them on race time. Moore was faster on the last lap and on Hixpania Hill, and finished fifth to Brightmore’s sixth to retain the title.
“It was absolute war up there. Me and Ashton going back and forth… I dropped back a bit in the beginning, and then it was pretty insane.”
Five titles, all settled by the end of the weekend in Spain.
