The RED BULL TENNESSEE KNOCKOUT Extreme Enduro in the extremely humid and hot Sequatchie in the state of Tennessee (USA) not only pushed the local heroes to their limits. However, everything seemed to go relatively easily for Bayern’s Manuel Lettenbichler with his well-known flow. After all, well over 500 starters in all classes came to what was probably the most physically demanding event in the US Hardenduro racing series. And the competition from Trystan Hart, Billy Bolt to Jonny Walker and Cody Webb is not to be despised either. But everyone had to work much more intensively than Manuel Lettenbichler, as they said themselves.
On Saturday it was time for the PRO HOT LAP Race, where Manuel Lettenbichler came out of the affair with first place and over 30 seconds ahead of a super strong Eddie Karlsson on his Stark Varg. Trystan Hart crossed the finish line a good two seconds behind Eddie in P3 and Billy Bolt in P4.

On Sunday, as usual, it was time to compete in the exhausting knock-out races, as only the best 30 drivers were allowed to take part in the grand finale. The final lasted 45 minutes and an extra lap. And here Manuel Lettenbichler showed why he is currently unbeatable. With his incredibly effective driving style, he outclassed the entire competition over eight laps so much that he even left local hero Trystan Hart an incredible gap on his home soil. Billy Bolt, right behind Trystan Hart, also received a ‚Bavarian slap‘ from his best buddy. The performance of Triumph factory rider Jonny Walker, who started with a 450cc four-stroke engine and was able to take P5 directly behind Eddie Karlsson, was astonishing – WOW.
Of course there are also points for the HEWR again, with which Manuel Lettenbichler can continuously expand his enormous points lead and also put his fourth TKO victory trophy on the shelf.
Manuel Lettenbichler: “That was a pretty good weekend, honestly. I’m quite stoked with my riding. I think I didn’t push it too hard, I rode smooth and tried to not make any mistakes, and it really paid off today. I couldn’t believe that I put such a big gap to the guys. I just rode flawless and was able to enjoy the race. The crowd was amazing in the trees which was a huge help, so thank you to all the fans who were cheering everybody on. It’s pretty damn hot for us out there, so it really means a lot to have that support.”
Billy Bolt: “That was a bit of a blitz run! This race is brutal, and you definitely felt the extra 10 minutes added on this year. I made hard work of it, crashing in the first corner, so I had to fight through the pack as quickly as possible. I don’t think I was at my best today, and I was pretty far from the front guys all day. I don’t think I was the third-fastest rider, but I knew that if I could hang in there and be near the front after the first couple of laps, then I could survive and stay in the fight, and that’s pretty much what happened. I was having a nice, comfortable race in third, and then Trystan made a mistake and put me back into a battle, so I had to dig deep and find some extra reserves to try and make a charge. I pulled a little bit on the second-to-last lap and decided to go for it on the last lap, but he rode a really good final lap and I didn’t even see him. All in all, it was a good weekend and a tough day. I wasn’t at my best, but I’m happy to be on the podium.”
