This year’s Gotland Grand National 2026 represents an absolute premiere on a completely new track, which can now be used permanently for the future of what is probably the most legendary cross-country race in Europe after a court agreement with authorities and co. Background: The Tofta military site is again in active military use, so that after several decades – since 1984 to be precise – it is unfortunately no longer possible to hold it. With new terrain near Hejdeby on the island of Gotland, however, it is now permanently going into the future with full commitment.

Highlights 2026

  • More than 3000 participants from 15 nations
  • 36,000 euros in prize money
  • Winners of the elite class will receive 9000 euros in prize money (women’s and men’s classification)
  • 12 hours of live broadcast
  • 28,000 spectators
  • Date: 22 to 24.10.2026
  • Bookable race packages with bike for international participants

The 6-time Sixdays winner and 3-time Enduro World Champion Jessica Gardner from Australia will be part of the team. She is joined by 2-time Enduro World Champion and 4-time Sixdays winner Rachel Gutish from the USA. But also in the men’s world, an Australian super talent is brought to Sweden at the age of only 20. We’re talking, of course, about Will Dennet, who took fourth place on his debut on Gotland last year on Triumph. But that’s not all, because there are other big names from the pro sector in the pipeline.
