Cheaper than Sherco, just above KTM and Husqvarna price levels, the new Ducati Desmo450 EDS 2027 is recommended for the EnDuroSport (EDS). This is a successful surprise, because actually one had expected a significantly higher price behind the name of Ducati, as we are actually always in the high-price segment with the red cars – but of course good for the paying enduro customer.

Variable maintenance intervals – Explanation: LINK

DTC: In contrast to the systems previously available in the off-road sector, Ducati Traction Control (DTC) regulates the power reduction based on the actual slip on the rear wheel, thus ensuring particularly effective, fast and linear intervention. The system detects situations in which control does not make sense – such as jumps – and deactivates itself automatically. If the driver wants to use the full engine power on certain sections of the route, the DTC can also be temporarily deactivated by pressing the clutch lever lightly. A few moments later, it automatically switches on again.

Ducati seems to be well prepared for enduro racing. Not surprising, because the multiple Enduro World Champion Antoine Meo from France is intensively involved in the development. In terms of price, they are at a good level, while technically they have packed almost everything that is possible. How the overall package will fare in reality remains to be seen. It is definitely a gain for the industry that can bring momentum to the scene.
