Full field, great action

283 riders in twelve classes took part in the motorized off-road sports competition in and around Dahlen on March 22. The best of them in the end was Jeremy Sydow. On the approximately 73-kilometre route, which had to be lapped three times and which included the two Dahlen special stage classics on the motocross track on the Dahlen Burgberg and the adjacent terrain as well as in the Meltewitz quarry and the surrounding area, the participants were on the road for a good seven hours, including small service and relaxation breaks. For the six tests, Jeremy Sydow needed a cumulative special stage time of 42:18.14 minutes, 13.43 seconds less than the runner-up, Luca Fischeder from Geringswalde, who drives for the host MSC Dahlen e. V. in the ADAC. With a gap of 1:42.22 minutes to the winner, Matyas Chlum from the Czech Republic finished third overall. In terms of test best times, it was four to two in the end, also in favor of Jeremy Sydow. While Fischeder scored the first time hunt of the day as well as the new season and also the sixth and last of the Dahlen cross-country race in 2026, Sydow lived up to his position as favorite in between.

Thus, at the final award ceremony for the cross-class championship and daily ranking, the three class winners stood together on the podium at the same time. Jeremy Sydow had logically won his lowest-displacement category E1 at the same time, Matyas Chlum competed in E2 and won it, as did Luca Fischeder in E3.

The words of the overall winner

„It was a nice race day and a nice success to have won again in Dahlen,“ Jeremy Sydow said at the finish. And further: „Dahlen is one of my favorite races on the calendar. It“s a pity that this time there were only two tests per round, because last year it was almost like a World Championship with the additional test on the sports field. But it was still a great event and it“s always nice to race here in front of so many fans.“

The other podium finishers in the DEM categories were Lucas Bergström from Sweden and Davide von Zitzewitz from Karlshof in second and third place respectively in E1, Edward „Eddi“ Hübner from Penig and Chris Gundermann from Straufhain in E2 with the same placings, and Florian Görner from Gornau/Dittmannsdorf and Toni Hoffmann from Wismar in E3.

The junior class J1 was won by Pascal Sadecki from Zschopau ahead of the Swede William Berg and Leonhard Koch from Massenbachhausen. The Junior 2 was won by Erik Schmidt from Lossata, where he relegated Collin Lang from Reichenbach and Sky Maddox Dombrowski from Marienberg to the places.

And another class victory for the host

Of the other club riders of the host MSC Dahlen e. V., Paul Hempel from Niederfrohna came out on top. He won the DMSB Enduro Cup class E3B. Jonas Felten from Ochsensaal finished eleventh and Steven Knedel from Oschatz 18th. In the same DEM class (E3), Thomas Decker from Dahlen finished seventh.
