Die erste Aufgabe am heutigen Tag war für die vier Gruppen Gold, Silber, Bronze und Gold das Zeitfahren, das für die Gold-Klasse rund um das legendären Music Box Village stattfand. Die anderen Klassen hatten ihre erste Gelegenheit außerhalb von Maseru und konnten durch die früheren Starts anschließend den Big Boys bei der Arbeit zuschauen.
Dass der Streckenverlauf nicht einfach war, zeigten die Herausfordernden mit der Bezeichung „drei Stufen / Three Steps“, die nicht nur einen Billy Bolt aus dem Sattel zwang. Auch die Abfahrten hatten es in sich und sorgten für so manch ungewollten Überschlag.

The first task today for the four groups Gold, Silver, Bronze and Gold was the time trial, which took place around the legendary Music Box Village for the Gold class. The fact that the course was not easy was shown by the challengers with the designation ‚three steps‘, which not only forced Billy Bolt out of the saddle. The descents were also tough and caused many an unwanted rollover.
