– Bei den Autos holte Nasser Al Attiyah seinen siebten Sieg im Rennen. Sein Teamkollege Sébastien Loeb belegte heute den zweiten Platz. Die beiden Stars bescheren dem Dacia Sandrider einen Doppelsieg beim ersten Rallye-Einsatz der Marke. Guillaume de Mévius (X-raid Mini JCW) landete mit seinem neuen Team auf dem Podium. – In der Challenger-Klasse gewann Eryk Goczal (Energylandia Taurus Factory) vor seinem Vater Marek, während Dania Akeel (BBR) das Podium komplettierte. In der SSV-Klasse gewinnt Yasir Seaidan (MMP) das Rennen und die Meisterschaft. In der Truck-Klasse erzielte Martin Macik (MM Technology) ein volles Haus und gewann jeden Renntag! Ross Branch (Hero MotoSports) wird Weltmeister 2024. – Bei der Rallye 2 wiederholte Bradley Cox (BAS World KTM Racing) seinen letztjährigen Sieg und holte sich in dieser Kategorie auch den Weltcup. Im Rally3 Enduro Cup Afriquia gewann Souleymane Addahri (Africa Rallye Team) mit einem Erdrutschsieg. In der Quad-Kategorie gewann Antanas Kanopkinas (CFMoto Thunder) mit knapper Mehrheit. AUF DEM WEG Die letzte Etappe, eine Schleife um Mengoub/Bouârfa, bestehend aus 273 Kilometern Sonderprüfungen, endete direkt vor dem Biwak (siehe Radio-Biwak). In der RallyGP-Kategorie gewann Daniel Sanders nach einem harten Kampf mit Tosha Schareina (+11’07“). Luciano Benavides, der von seiner im vergangenen Juni in Argentinien erlittenen Oberschenkelverletzung zurückgekehrt war, sicherte sich nach einer sehr soliden Leistung (+21’03“) den letzten Podiumsplatz. Die beiden KTM-Werksfahrer, die mit einer Maschine mit überarbeitetem Chassis in Marrakesch ankamen, verließen die Rallye mit einer klaren Botschaft an ihre Rivalen für den nächsten Januar: Das orangefarbene Motorrad ist bereit für das Rennen. Für „Chucky“, der bei seinem zweiten Versuch das Rennen gewann, war es eine gute Möglichkeit, seine früheren Verletzungen hinter sich zu lassen (siehe Zitate) und die Nachfolge von Toby Price anzutreten (siehe Statistik des Tages). Bei Rallye2 fuhr Bradley Cox die ganze Woche im RallyGP-Tempo. Der Südafrikaner wiederholte den marokkanischen Titel des letzten Jahres und sicherte sich nach einer hart umkämpften Saison mit Romain Dumontier (Honda Team) den Sieg im Rally2-Weltcup. Der Franzose hat diese Woche eine neue Maschine entdeckt. Das BAS World KTM Racing Team war in Topform, drei seiner Fahrer landeten in dieser Kategorie auf dem Podium, wobei der junge Edgar Canet und Michael Docherty den Sohn von Alfie Cox flankierten. Harith Noah (Sherco TVS Rally Factory), Sieger der Kategorie bei der Dakar, landete knapp hinter dem Podium. Beim Rally3 Enduro Cup Afriquia hat Souleymane Addahri das Meisterwerk geschaffen, auf das ART gehofft hatte! Hut ab vor dem in Agadir ansässigen Fahrer, der einen Hattrick für das Africa Rallye Team erzielte, das von den Hauptpartnern der Rallye du Maroc unterstützte kontinentale Fahrertrainingsprogramm, das die Kategorie seit seiner Einführung im Jahr 2022 dominiert. In der Quad-Kategorie kämpften Antanas Kanopkinas und Kamil Wisniewski (Orlen) die ganze Woche über gegeneinander, wobei der Litauer heute als Sieger hervorging. In der Autokategorie debütierte Nasser Al Attiyah mit seinem Dacia auf die bestmögliche Art und Weise. Der Katar steigerte seinen Siegesrekord bei der Rallye du Maroc auf sieben und sicherte sich damit seinen dritten Weltmeistertitel (siehe Zitate). In der Challenger-Klasse gelang der Familie Goczal eine spektakuläre Rückkehr in den Wettbewerb. Zusammen gewann das polnische Trio seit Marrakesch jeden Tag. Im Ziel lag Eryk vor seinem Vater Marek (+9’51“). Michal steht nach seinem Ausfall gestern nicht auf dem Podium. Dania Akeel belegte im Rennen den dritten Platz und spiegelte damit ihren Aufstieg zur Bekanntheit im Laufe der Saison wider. In SSV waren die neuen Maverick Rs des Can-Am Factory-Teams und Manuel Andujar (South Racing), der in der Experimental-Kategorie antrat, die ganze Woche über schnell. Insgesamt ist es Yasir Seaidan, der das Rennen und den Weltcup gewinnt. Alexandre Pinto (Old Friends Rally) kommt hinter dem saudischen Fahrer ins Ziel und gewinnt die Road to Dakar Challenge. Bei den SSV Open Maroc Telecom gewannen Bartlomiej Kotwica (PBI Rally) und Ali Oubassidi jeweils drei Tage. Am Ende waren es der Marokkaner und sein Landsmann, die dem Africa Rallye Team, das bereits die Motorradkategorie Rally3 Enduro Cup Afriquia gewonnen hatte, einen Doppelcoup geglückt waren. Tolles Ergebnis für den ART-Kurs 2024! In der LKW-Kategorie gewann Martin Macik 6 von 6! Der Tscheche hat seit Marrakesch jede Wertungsprüfung gewonnen. Sein Teamkollege Kees Koolen hätte ihn heute beinahe abhängen können … Insgesamt kam Macik fast eine Stunde vor dem Niederländer ins Ziel. BIWAKRadio Das Ziel des Rennens befand sich wie im letzten Jahr am Eingang des Biwaks. Eine Innovation, die letztes Jahr in Merzouga getestet und heute in Mengoub/Bouârfa wiederholt wurde, um den Teams der Teilnehmer und ihren Familien die Möglichkeit zu geben, diesen Höhepunkt des Rennens zu teilen. Die Frau und der Vater von Ross Branch, dem RallyGP-Weltmeister, konnten ihren Helden küssen, als er von seinem Fahrrad stieg! Als Vorreiter bei technologischen Innovationen, wie es diese Woche beim digitalen Roadbook für 100 % der Karawane der Fall war, ist die Rallye du Maroc auch Vorreiter, wenn es um Emotionen geht. STATUS DES TAGES: 17 und 10 Daniel Sanders war der 15. FIM-Motorradfahrer, der das im Jahr 2000 ins Leben gerufene Rennen gewann. Nach Toby Price ist er der zweite Australier, dem dieses Kunststück gelang. Der letzte der drei Siege seines Vorgängers kam 2023. „Chucky“ hat Australien und KTM nun zum zweiten Mal in Folge an die Spitze der Ergebnistabelle gebracht. Das Orange-Team erringt seinen 17. Sieg. Zum 17. Mal in ihrer Geschichte wird die Rally du Maroc 2025 ein Lauf der FIM Rally-Raid-Weltmeisterschaft sein. Seit 2013 ist es die letzte Runde des Kalenders, mit Ausnahme von 2022, als die Rallye Andalusien verschoben wurde. Marokko wird zum 11. Mal und zum dritten Mal in Folge das Radfahrer-Finale für die internationale FIM- und FIA-Karawane sein, die seit 2022 von der W2RC vereint wird. Kommentare: Daniel Sanders (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing): „Es fühlt sich gut an. Mein letzter Sieg ist schon lange her und seitdem ist viel passiert. Ich bin wirklich glücklich, wieder an der Spitze zu sein, den Speed zu haben und ein Motorrad zu haben, das gut funktioniert. Das ist eine wirklich gute Sache vor der Dakar. Dieses Rennen hat alles zu bieten. Sie verbessern es einfach weiter. Das Gelände hier ist unwirklich. Aufgrund von Verletzungen, zuerst am Ellenbogen und dann am Oberschenkel, habe ich zwei Rallye du Maroc hintereinander verpasst. Nach einer schwierigen Dakar und Argentinien zurückzukommen, ist großartig. Hut ab vor dem Team für die Qualität des Motorrads.“ Bradley Cox (BAS World KTM Racing): „Was für ein Tag! Als ich hierher kam, hätte ich nicht gedacht, dass das möglich wäre. Romain (Dumontier) war das ganze Jahr über sehr stark. Diese Woche war ein Traum. Als Kind habe ich in mein Schulbuch geschrieben: „Eines Tages werde ich Weltmeister“ und diesen Traum habe ich heute wahr werden lassen. Es war kein einfacher Tag. Ich stürzte bei der Verbindungsprüfung und rutschte den Asphalt hinunter, dann hatte ich auf der Sonderprüfung einen weiteren schweren Sturz. Ein großes Dankeschön an das Team, die Sponsoren und alle, die es möglich machen. Hoffen wir, dass 2025 ein ebenso gutes Jahr wird!“ Nasser Al Attiyah (The Dacia Sandriders): „Es ist großartig, die Rallye du Maroc sieben Mal und zum dritten Mal auch die Weltmeisterschaft zu gewinnen. Und natürlich freue ich mich sehr, zum ersten Mal für Dacia zu gewinnen. Es Es war kein einfaches Jahr für uns, nachdem wir uns von der Dakar zurückgezogen haben. Jetzt, mit dem neuen Auto, freuen wir uns auf die Dakar 2025.“ Sébastien Loeb (The Dacia Sandriders): „Insgesamt war es eine gute Rallye. Mit Dacia belegten wir die Plätze eins und zwei, was zeigt, dass das Auto wirklich konkurrenzfähig und zuverlässig ist. Wir haben einen Querlenker und einen Lenkhebel gebrochen und es ist wichtig, eine Rallye wie diese zu fahren, um zu sehen, was kaputt geht und was wir für die Dakar verbessern müssen. Natürlich gibt es ein paar Dinge, die wir klären müssen, aber insgesamt sind wir mit dem Auto sehr zufrieden. Der Kampf zwischen den verschiedenen Autos ist sehr eng, daher denke ich, dass es für die Dakar interessant sein wird.“ Guillaume de Mévius (X-raid Mini JCW): „Mit unserem ersten Rennen mit X-raid können wir zufrieden sein. Wir haben heute etwas Zeit verloren und den zweiten Platz belegt, stehen aber immer noch auf dem Podium und sind daher sehr zufrieden. Für die Dakar werden wir den Benzinmotor und ein paar andere Verbesserungen haben. Nach dem, was wir diese Woche gesehen haben, sollten wir im Januar kampfbereit sein. Das wussten wir nicht, bevor wir hierher kamen, deshalb sind wir mit dem Verlauf der Dinge sehr zufrieden.“ Carlos Sainz (Ford M-Sport): „Insgesamt bin ich sehr zufrieden. Ein komplett neues Auto, ein neues Team, ich bin glücklich. Wir haben eine gute Geschwindigkeit. Bis auf einen Tag funktionierte das Auto gut. Es ist sehr emotional, mit einem neuen Auto eine Etappe zu gewinnen. Die Dakar wird interessant, weil Ford, Dacia, Mini und Toyota alle sehr nah beieinander liegen.“ |

ON TRACK The final stage, a loop around Mengoub/Bouârfa, comprising of 273 kilometres of special stages finished just outside the bivouac (see Radio bivouac). In the RallyGP category, Daniel Sanders won after a fierce battle with Tosha Schareina (+11’07’‘). Luciano Benavides, back from his femur injury sustained in Argentina last June, took the final podium spot after a very solid performance (+21’03‘’). The two KTM factory riders, who arrived in Marrakech on a machine with a revamped chassis, left the rally having sent a clear message to their rivals for next January: the orange bike is ready to race. For ‘Chucky’, who won at his second attempt at the race, it was a good way of putting his past injuries behind him (see Quotes) and to succeed Toby Price (see Stat of the day). In Rally2, Bradley Cox rode at RallyGP pace all week. The South African repeated last year’s Moroccan title and snatched victory in the Rally2 World Cup after a hard-fought season with Romain Dumontier (Honda Team). The Frenchman discovered a new machine this week. The BAS World KTM Racing team was on top form, with three of its riders finishing on the podium in the category, with young Edgar Canet and Michael Docherty flanking Alfie Cox’s son. The Qatari increased his record of victories on the Rallye du Maroc to seven and while taking his third world championship title (see Quotes). Dania Akeel took third place in the race, reflecting her rise to prominence over the season. Overall it is Yasir Seaidan who wins the race and the world cup. Alexandre Pinto (Old Friends Rally) finishes behind the Saudi driver and wins the Road to Dakar Challenge. In the SSV Open Maroc Telecom, Bartlomiej Kotwica (PBI Rally) and Ali Oubassidi each won three days. It has been the final round of the calendar since 2013, the only exception being 2022 when the Andalucía Rally was postponed. Morocco will be the bike riders final for the 11th time and the3rd consecutive time for the FIM and FIA international caravan, united by the W2RC since 2022. QUOTES Daniel Sanders (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing): “It feels good. It’s been a long time since my last win and a lot has happened since then. I’m really happy to be back on top, to have the speed and a bike that is working well. It’s a really good thing before the Dakar.This race has everything going for it. They just keep improving it. The terrain here is unreal. Due to injuries, first the elbow and then the femur, I missed two Rallye du Maroc in a row. To come back after a difficult Dakar and Argentina is great. Hats off to the team for the quality of the bike.” Bradley Cox (BAS World KTM Racing): “What a day! I didn’t think it would be possible when I came here. Romain (Dumontier) has been very strong all year. This week has been a dream. When I was a kid, I wrote in my school book: ‘one day, I’ll be world champion’ and I’ve made that dream come true today. It wasn’t an easy day. I crashed in the liaison and slid down the tarmac, then I had another big crash in the special stage. A big thank you to the team, the sponsors and all those who make it happen. Let’s hope 2025 will be as good a year!” Nasser Al Attiyah (The Dacia Sandriders): “It’s great to win the Rallye du Maroc seven times and also the World Championship for a third time.And of course, I’m very happy to be winning for Dacia for the first time.It hasn’t been an easy year for us after we withdrew from the Dakar. Now, with the new car, we’re looking forward to the 2025 Dakar.” Sébastien Loeb (The Dacia Sandriders) : “Overall, it has been a good rally. We finished first and second with Dacia, which shows that the car is really competitive and reliable. We broke a wishbone and a steering arm and it’s important to do a rally like this to see what breaks and what we need to improve for the Dakar. Of course, there are a few things we need to sort out, but overall, we’re very happy with the car. The battle is very close between the different cars, so I think it will be interesting for the Dakar.“ Guillaume de Mévius (X-raid Mini JCW): “For our first race with X-raid, we can be satisfied. We lost some time today and second place, but we’re still on the podium, so we’re very happy. For the Dakar, we’ll have the petrol engine and a few other improvements.
