Wer gehört zu den Top-Anbietern im Offroad-Stiefel Segment? Das ist eine recht klare Angelegenheit. Denn die italienische Stiefel-Industrie ist hier die absolute Bench-Mark und deshalb ist es nicht verwunderlich, dass Alpinestars, Gaerne und Sidi ganz vorn bei der Musik mitspielen und seit Jahrzehnten diesen Markt dominieren. Zudem wird in Italien auch für Fremdfirmen produziert, da diese natürlich auf das italienische Know-How setzen. Dann wären da noch der legendäre Hersteller Fox aus den USA und der neue jungen Konkurrent Leatt aus Südafrika.
Welche Aspekte sind bei der Wahl des besten Offroad-Stiefels zu berücksichtigen. Wie bereits eingangs erwähnt hat die Kombination aus Schutz und Tragekomfort oberste Priorität, was natürlich sehr stark von der eigenen Fußform und dem Einsatzgebiet abhängt. Erst ganz zum Schluss sollte bezüglich der finanziellen Last eine Entscheidung getroffen werden, da Fußverletzungen immer ein sehr heikles Thema sind und in den meisten Fälle Langzeitbeeinträchtigungen mit sich bringen. Daher gilt stets: Ist das Budget zu knapp, dann einfach noch etwas sparen und das perfekt passende Produkt zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt erwerben.
Aufgabenpunkte bei der Stiefelwahl: Passform, Schutzfaktor, Ausstattung, Verarbeitungsqualität, Gelenkausführung und natürlich auch das Design, das zu guter Letzt nicht selten den Ausschlag für den Kauf eines Stiefelpaars gibt, sind primär zu fokussieren. Außerdem sollte bei der Anprobe die verwendete Schutzkleidung getragen werden. Nicht zu vergessen: Beim Einsatz von Orthesen muss der ausgewählte Stiefel ausreichend Platz im Schaftbereich und über die notwendige Höhe verfügen, so dass Tragekomfort und Funktion der Knieorthese nicht eingeschränkt werden.
