Die Entwicklung beruht auf dem Erfolg und dem Feedback von Red Bull KTM Factory Racing-Fahrern auf der ganzen Welt. Beide Hubräume sind stark limitiert auf nur jeweils 400 Einheiten und sind nur in den USA erhältlich. Hintergrund: Factory-Bikes müssen in den USA frei verkäuflich sein und sind erst dann bei den nationalen Rennserien zugelassen. D.h. würde man mit einem MXGP-Bike in den USA starten wollen, wäre das nicht möglich.
