Jim Marsden, der stets Favorit gehandelt wird, hatte dieses mal ordentlich zu kämpfen und wie er selbst sag, lag ihm dieser Ultra4 Kurs überhaupt nicht. Das widerspiegelte auch die Anzahl der Reparaturen, die während der Renntage notwendig waren:
- Zwei Kupplung
- Zwei Lichtmaschinen
- Zwei Anlasser
- Vier Schub-/Zugstangen-Buchsen
- Dreimaliger Austausch des Differentials
- Vier Bremsbelag-Sätze
- Radlauf
Immerhin schaffte er trotz dieser massiven Reparaturen immer noch auf Platz 3 und konnte mit einem Preisgeld von 125 Euro zumindest einen Teil der Verpflegung decken.

Jim Marsden, who is always the favorite, had to fight hard this time and as he says himself, this Ultra4 course was not at all suited to him. This was also reflected in the number of repairs that were necessary during the race days:
- Two clutches
- Two alternators
- Two starter motors
- Four radius arm bushes
- Replacing the differential three times
- Four sets of brake pads
- Wheel arch
After all, despite these massive repairs, he still made 3rd place and was able to cover at least a small part of the food with prize money of 125 euros.
