Five days. 400 miles. 4 off road parks. And enough rain to turn West Virginia’s rock trails into waterfalls.
This is the FINAL episode of our Hell & Back Adventure across West Virginia – a 400 mile, self-supported off-road journey through some of the toughest Jeep trails we could find. No trailers. No support vehicles. Just four Jeeps carrying everything we needed to survive the trip and make it back to where we started. After four days of rollovers, flooded tunnels, trail repairs, brutal rock crawling and nonstop rain, we had one final destination ahead of us: Good Evening Ranch. And West Virginia wasn’t finished with us yet. We started with Cripple Creek – a nasty, boulder-filled creek bed that immediately put the Jeeps and drivers to work. Max earned another Pink Helmet, Will somehow had an airbag explode in his face, and after another long day on the trail we found an incredible campsite deep in the woods. Then the weather turned against us again. The next morning a massive rainstorm hit just as we packed up camp. Instead of calling it quits, all four Jeeps headed for one final challenge: Rubicon Trail. The rain completely transformed it. Water poured down the mountain, the rocks disappeared beneath the runoff, visibility went to hell, and what should have been a difficult rock-crawling trail turned into a waterfall. We fought our way uphill one obstacle at a time, completely soaked, trying to finish the final trail of our West Virginia adventure. And somehow… we made it back to our trailers. But there was still one piece of unfinished business. Someone wore the Pink Helmet more than anybody else on this trip – and that meant it was finally time for the punishment. 😂 Hell & Back Adventure: West Virginia is what Flex, Rocks & Rollovers is all about: real off-road adventures, built Jeeps, difficult trails, great friends, bad decisions and figuring things out when nothing goes according to plan.
