At first, it looked like an extremely close duel between Teodor Kabakchiev and Manuel Lettenbichler after the start. But from CP11 onwards, Teodor seemed to have run out of steam a bit, while Manuel put on the afterburner in the following sections and only delivered best times. Not even during the LIVEmaniacs special stage Teodor was able to put pressure on Manuel Lettenbichler. The opposite was the case. Only when Manni had driven the course for the third time, Teodor appeared, who was then passed through to P7, if you only look at the LIVEmaniacs times.
He had visible problems with the course, which was quite reminiscent of Carl’s Diner on the Erzberg. That was of course a personal home advantage for Manuel, but also for Graham Jarvis. Graham, who had technical problems yesterday, set the second fastest time behind Manuel Lettenbichler. Followed by James Moore, Ashton and Mitch Brightmore and Alfredo Gomez.
All in all, Manuel Lettenbichler, with his very anticipatory and efficient driving style, created a time cushion of 12m19s on the second day of riding. In the overall standings, this means almost 20 minutes ahead of Teodor Kabakchiev.
Overall Results after day 2 – GOLD CLASS
Once again, Mario Roman robs Pol Tarrés of just over four minutes and increases his lead in the overall standings to 5m10s. Otherwise, not much has changed. Pol Tarrés remains on P2 followed by Dieter Rudolf, who was given a penalty time of 1m30s for too high speed in a speed limit zone. Kevin Gallas is working hard in the background not to lose touch with the podium. However, he concedes another 8m8s today. Jonny Walker’s performance on his 900cc Triumph, whose chassis has been modified and is otherwise almost standard, is still astonishing.
Overall Results after day 2 – Adventure Ultimate CLASS
On the third day, the Gold class starts half an hour later, which shows that the days are getting even tougher. Otherwise, Martin Freinademetz would not have given the drivers so much time until the start. After all, you stay overnight in the mountains from the third to the fourth day. But before that, it is time to work hard, because already from the start a nasty climb awaits the riders, followed by Magic Mushroom, as well as further climbs and streams. This is followed by new sections such as New Baybsitter and Slap me baby. After the last service point, it’s time to give it your all again at the LIVEmaniacs section Galindo ridge. Then it goes to the finish on super fast sections of the course. The total distance is 140 kilometers, for which 5 hours and 10 minutes of total driving time are estimated.
