Shaun „Shauno“ Whale’s Toyota LandCruiser 60 Series ute build is finished – custom tray, Runva winch, Stedi lights, REDARC 12V. Full walkaround of the OG Dirty 30 before Cape York. Every panel, every bracket, every bolt on this thing has a story behind it. The OG Dirty 30 started life as a tired old 60 Series and it’s spent months getting cut, welded, painted and rebuilt into a proper touring weapon – and this is the first time it’s all bolted together in one place. The tray is the piece we keep coming back to. Dale from 2D Extreme Fabrication and the crew at Pinnacle 4×4 built something we’ve simply never had on a 4WD before, and the way it opens up, packs down and carries the camp setup is worth the walkaround on its own. Shauno runs through the lot – the paint, the barwork, the Runva winch, the Stedi lighting, the sliders, the rear tyre setup, the Clearview mirrors, the REDARC 12V system, the Dometic fridges, the GME UHF, the centre console, the camp lights, the chairs, the storage, the Darche rooftop tent, the mud flaps and the Brown Davis long range tank. Even the original Dirty 30 seats made it across.
