Full canopy vs half canopy… which is actually better for 4WD touring? After 12 months and over 30,000km travelling Australia in my INEOS Grenadier Quartermaster, I’ve tested both setups in some of the toughest conditions.
From remote desert tracks and technical 4WD terrain to towing, camping and everyday use, I’ve discovered some surprising differences between full and half canopies.
We look at weight distribution, rear axle loads, GVM, towing performance, storage space, gear accessibility and overall vehicle capability. More storage might sound better, but does it actually make your 4WD better?
