Ein Schutz für das großvolumige Leistungsteil beim Zweitakter ist sicherlich für den Hardenduro-Piloten eine lohnende Investition. Zumal ein neues Leistungsteil bei einem 300er Zweitakter im Schnitt um die 300 Euro kostet, was auch für den Schalldämpfer gilt. Damit sind gerade einmal 67 Euro für einen Protektor fürs Leistungsteil eine lohnende Angelegenheit. In Bezug auf den Zweitakt-Schalldämpfer setzt man auf einen ringförmigen Protektor, der auf den Schalldämpfer geschoben wird. Er schützt vor ungewollter Kaltverformung beim seitlichen Ablegen der Enduro. Hierfür sind je nach Durchmesser 35 bis 39 Euro fällig.

Beim Viertakter ist man im Preisvergleich für die originalen Krümmer und Schalldämpfer schon weit über 300 Euro angesiedelt und im Fall von Titan-Ausführungen noch um einiges höher. Somit ist auch hier den Griff ins Protektoren-Regal von Polisport eine wirtschaftlich sinnvolle Maßnahme. Für den Krümmerschutz ruft man 47 Euro für die 22 Zentimeter Version und 51 Euro für die 40 Zentimeter auf.
Während man für die Schalldämpfer-Version 55,20 Euro verlangt.
Alle Protektoren sind aus Edelstahl und Silikon gefertigt, wobei man das Elastomer vornehmlich zur Reduzierung von Vibrationen und Geräuschen einsetzt. Während bei metallischen Protektoren-Lösungen mit stark zunehmender Geräuschkulisse zu rechnen ist, braucht man sich bei diesen Lösungen keine Gedanken darüber machen. Natürlich ist das Material so gewählt, dass es hohe Abgas-Temperaturen nichts anhaben kann.
Zugleich kann man verschiedenste Farbtöne passend oder stylisch zur eigenen Enduro-Farbe auswählen. Die Montage erfolgt bei allen Protektoren, egal ob Vier- oder Zweitakter, ohne Demontage von Original-Teilen. Im Fall des Krümmers und Leistungsteils setzt man auf Edelstahl-Schellen, was auch für den Armadillo Schalldämpfer-Schutz zutrifft. Dann gibt es noch die Protektoren, die über den Schalldämpfer geschoben werden. Sie sind je nach Version um 60 oder 100 Millimeter dehnbar und decken einen Durchmesser von 200 bis 300 Millimeter oder von 340 bis 400 ab und weißen einen absolut festen Sitz auf.
Die Verarbeitung ist bei allen Protektoren als hochwertig und passend zu bezeichnen, was ebenso für die Materialwahl gilt, die unschöne Korrosionsstellen wirksam verhindert. Zudem bietet die Vielzahl an Farbvarianten eine individuelle Gestaltungsmöglichkeit, was heutzutage beim Kauf nicht ganz unerheblich ist.
Zusammenfassend lässt sich feststellen, dass diese Protektionslösungen für den Schutz der teuren Auspuffanlagen eine wirksame Maßnahme darstellen, um den eigenen Geldbeutel nicht zu stark zu belasten. Für gut 600 Euro oder sogar mehr für Auspuff-Neuteile direkt vom Hersteller lassen sich so manche Wettbewerbe bestreiten oder Spritkosten in der Saison stemmen. Daher sind diese Lösungen von Polisport für uns ein absoluter Zugewinn und können daher uneingeschränkt empfohlen werden.

Protection for the large twostroke pipe is certainly a worthwhile investment for the hardenduro pilot. Especially since a new pipe unit of a 300 twostroke engine costs around 300 euros on average, which also applies to the silencer. In the case of the four-stroke engine, the price comparison for the original head pipe and muffler is well over 300 euros and in the case of titanium versions a lot higher. The processing of all protectors can be described as high quality and suitable, which also applies to the choice of material, which effectively prevents unsightly corrosion spots. In addition, the large number of color variants offers an individual design option, which is not entirely unimportant when buying these days.
In summary, it can be said that these protection solutions represent an effective measure for protecting expensive exhaust systems in order not to burden your own wallet too much. For a good 600 euros or even more for new exhaust parts directly from the manufacturer, you can contest some competitions or raise fuel costs during the season.
