REPORT MXGP
Im ersten Rennen erzielte Jorge Prado seinen siebten FOX-Holeshot der Saison und übernahm die Führung vor Ruben Fernandez und Jeffrey Herlings. Herlings ging schnell an Fernandez vorbei und drängte hinter Prado nach vorne. Prado schaffte es, Herlings auf Abstand zu halten und baute seinen Vorsprung sogar auf 6 Sekunden aus. Nachdem er sich neu formiert hatte, schritt Herlings vorwärts, fuhr einige schnellste Runden und begann in Runde 14 von 17, Prado zu bedrohen. Herlings kämpfte sich schließlich durch, indem er Prado überholte und die Führung übernahm. Herlings blickte nie zurück und gewann das Rennen vor Prado.
Ruben Fernandez vom Team HRC war der Beste der anderen, da er weiterhin ein tolles Tempo fuhr und von Runde 1 bis zum Ende Dritter blieb, ohne in Schwierigkeiten zu geraten. Hinter ihm tobte der Kampf um den 4. Platz zwischen Calvin Vlaanderen vom Team Gebben Van Venroy Yamaha Racing und Glenn Coldenhoff vom Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP Team. Coldenhoff schien entschlossen zu sein, als er in Runde 2 eine aggressive Linie einschlug, um Alberto Forato vom SM Action Racing Team Yuasa Battery MXGP zu überholen, und seine Geschwindigkeit beibehielt, um näher an Vlaanderen heranzukommen, der vom Start an Vierter war. Nach mehreren Versuchen hatte Coldenhoff in Runde 13 das letzte Wort und überholte Vlaanderen auf dem vierten Platz. Vlaanderen begnügt sich mit einem echten 5. Platz.
Romain Febvre schaffte es nach einem durchschnittlichen Start, der ihn in Runde 1 auf den 8. Platz brachte, auf den 6. Platz vorzudringen. Der Franzose zeigte sein ganzes Können, als er in Runde 2 Brian Bogers von Standing Construct Honda MXGP überholte und den 5. Platz belegte, und er musste kluge Linien wählen, um Forato zu überholen 6. in Runde 9. Forato machte einen Fehler und musste in derselben Runde einen weiteren Platz an Jeremy Seewer vom Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP Team abgeben. Forato belegte am Ende den 8. Platz.
Seewer musste nach einem schlechten Start, der ihn in Runde 1 auf den 11. Platz brachte, viel Energie verbrauchen. Der jüngste GP-Sieger rückte in Runde 8 schnell auf den 8. Platz vor. Dann nutzte er Foratos Fehler aus und kam auf den 7. Platz, wo er ins Ziel kam. Bogers zeigte ein gutes Tempo, fuhr konstant in die Top 10 und belegte einen guten 9. Platz vor einem weiteren guten Fahrer, Alessandro Lupino vom MRT Racing Team Beta. Der Italiener erwischte einen guten Start und lag in Runde 1 auf dem 9. Platz, wurde aber ein paar Mal überholt und fiel auf den 11. Platz zurück, aber Lupino kämpfte weiter und kam am Ende wieder auf den 10. Platz vor.
Benoit Paturel vom De Baets Yamaha MX-Team stürzte zu Beginn des Rennens und schied leider aus dem Grand Prix aus, während Brent Van Doninck von JM Honda Racing ebenfalls in Runde 2 stürzte und ebenfalls aus dem GP ausschied.
Im zweiten Rennen holte sich Jorge Prado den anderen FOX Holeshot und behielt die Führung vor Febvre und Herlings. Febvre hatte einen hervorragenden Flow und schaffte es, Prado in Runde 4 zu überholen, um die meiste Zeit des Rennens anzuführen, aber Herlings war heute einfach zu schnell, als er in Runde 7 Prado für den zweiten Platz überholte und begann, sein Tempo zu erhöhen, um näher an Febvre heranzukommen. Schließlich stürzte sich Herlings in der 13. von 16 Runden und überholte Febvre, übernahm die Führung und gewann das Rennen, was ihm sein erstes perfektes Wochenende der Saison bescherte. Mit einem Sieg im RAM-Qualifikationsrennen und einem 1:1 am Sonntag holte sich Herlings die maximale Punktzahl und reduzierte damit die Punkte hinter Prado.
Febvre begnügte sich mit einem guten zweiten Platz, ging mit 6:2 ins Ziel und belegte den 3. Gesamtrang. Prado seinerseits ist mit einem 2:3 weiterhin ein Musterbeispiel an Konstanz, um seine Red Plate am Laufen zu halten. Dahinter zeigte Coldenhoff ein großartiges Wochenende, da er vom Start bis zum Ziel Vierter war und mit 4:4 ins Ziel kam und insgesamt Vierter wurde.
Seewer schaffte es, den 5. Platz zu erreichen, nachdem er von hinten kam und zeigte, dass er einfallsreich ist, um wichtige Punkte zu retten. In Runde 1 belegte er den 7. Platz, überholte Bogers in Runde 4 als Sechster und profitierte in Runde 8 von Fernandez‘ Pech, wurde Fünfter und belegte mit 7:5 den 5. Gesamtrang. Bogers musste das Rennen leider einige Runden später aufgeben, obwohl er noch Hoffnung auf einen Podiumsplatz hatte. Fernandez lag bis zur fünften Runde auf dem 5. Platz, hatte aber ein Problem mit dem Fahrrad und musste sich auf den 9. Gesamtrang zurückziehen. Er verlor wichtige Punkte, da er eine Position an Febvre verlor und in der Meisterschaft Vierter wurde.
Forato zeigte sein ganzes Talent und verbesserte sich vom 10. Platz in Runde 1 auf den 6. Platz, als er in Runde 7 den Sandspezialisten Vlaanderen überholte und auf den 8. Platz kam. Er nutzte die Probleme von Fernandez und Bogers aus, rückte auf den 6. Platz vor und behielt diese Position bis zur Zielflagge 8-6 für den 7. Gesamtrang, erholte sich von Frankreich.
Valentin Guillod von Ship to Cycle Honda SR Motoblouz ist ein weiterer Fahrer, der im letzten Grand Prix konstant in die Top 10 vordrang, da der Schweizer mit einem soliden 8. Platz dort landete, wo er gestartet war. Lupino schien die regnerischen Bedingungen in Kegums gefallen zu haben, denn der Italiener belegte den soliden 9. Platz und belegte damit einen ermutigenden und guten 8. Gesamtrang.
Alvin Ostlund von JWR Honda Racing schaffte es mit einer sehr guten Leistung in die Top 10, als der Schwede in Runde 1 vom 15. auf den 10. Platz vorrückte und dabei gute Punkte sammelte.
Am Ende hatte Jeffrey Herlings mit einem 1-1-1 das perfekte Wochenende und holte sich die maximale Punktzahl, während Jorge Prado die Rote Platte behält und seiner konstanten Saison einen weiteren Podiumsplatz hinzufügt. Romain Febvre steht zum zweiten Mal auf dem Podium und rückt in der Meisterschaft wieder auf den dritten Platz vor.
Jeffrey Herlings: „Es war kein einfacher Sieg. Im zweiten Rennen fuhr Romain (Febvre) sehr stark und ich musste darum kämpfen. Insgesamt bin ich sehr glücklich und freue mich, den Grand Prix gewonnen zu haben. Es war ein perfektes Wochenende und jetzt freue ich mich auf Deutschland.“
Jorge Prado: „Ich habe mich am Samstag großartig gefühlt, aber heute dachte ich, ich hätte das erste Rennen gewinnen können, aber Jeffrey (Herlings) hat einen tollen Angriff gemacht. Ich hatte zwei großartige Starts mit zwei FOX Holeshots und bin glücklich, die Red Plate zu behalten. Wir werden weiter daran arbeiten, konstant zu bleiben und auch einige Siege zu holen, und ich freue mich wirklich auf die nächsten Rennen.“
Romain Febvre: „Es war eine gute Operation für das Wochenende. Im zweiten Rennen hatte ich einen guten Start, es war schlammig, das sind Bedingungen, die ich liebe, und ich konnte einige Fahrer überholen und an die Spitze kommen. Ich musste Jeffrey (Herlings) die Führung überlassen, was etwas enttäuscht war, aber ich bin glücklich, weil meine Geschwindigkeit gut ist.“

REPORT MX2
Im MX2-Rennen 1 war es Kevin Horgmo vom F&H Kawasaki Racing Team, der seinen zweiten FOX Holeshot der Saison erzielte, während Roan Van de Moosdijk von Nestaan Husqvarna Factory Racing danach die Führung übernahm. Van De Moosdijk schaffte es, vor seinem Teamkollegen Kay de Wolf von Nestaan Husqvarna Factory Racing und Thibault Benistant vom Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MX2 Team in Führung zu gehen, der mit Vollgas und dem Vorderrad in der Luft den dritten Platz von Horgmo einnahm.
Unter den ersten drei Fahrern kam Benistant die französische Atmosphäre am meisten zugute, da es dem französischen Fahrer gelang, die schnellste Runde zu fahren und dann in Runde 7 beide Fahrer von Nestaan Husqvarna zu überholen und die Führung zu übernehmen. Benistant setzte sich deutlich durch und gewann das erste Rennen seines Heim-Grand-Prix.
Hinter ihm kam es nie zur Ruhe, da sowohl de Wolf als auch Van De Moosdijk von einer anderen Gruppe von Teamkollegen, Andrea Adamo und Liam Everts von Red Bull KTM Factory Racing, unter Druck gerieten. Es war Van De Moosdijk, der in Runde 8 zweimal hintereinander überholt wurde und auf den 5. Platz vorrückte, wo er bis zum Ende blieb. De Wolf hielt zwei Runden lang Widerstand, aber Everts überholte ihn in Runde 10 und wurde Zweiter. Adamo folgte seinem Teamkollegen eine Runde später und wurde Dritter, musste aber sechs Runden lang mit de Wolf um den dritten Platz kämpfen. Letztendlich war es Adamo, der zwei Runden vor Schluss den Überholversuch schaffte und Dritter wurde. de Wolf gab sich am Ende mit dem vierten Platz zufrieden.
Nach einem sehr schnellen Start wurde Horgmo einige Male überholt und landete auf einem wirklich guten 6. Platz. Den siebten Platz belegte Lucas Coenen von Nestaan Husqvarna Factory Racing, der zeigte, dass wir uns immer darauf verlassen können, dass er niemals aufgibt. L.Coenen feierte ein großartiges Comeback, als er nach einem durchschnittlichen Start in Runde 1 auf Platz 13 landete und sich bis auf den 7. Platz vorarbeitete.
Der junge französische EMX250-Fahrer Marc-Antoine Rossi vom Team VRT KTM Factory Juniors startete seinen ersten MX2 Grand Prix auf heimischem Boden mit einem Paukenschlag, da er viel Kontrolle und Ruhe bewies und ein starkes Rennen fuhr. Nachdem er sich nach Runde 1 auf dem 7. Platz befand, verbesserte er sich für eine Runde auf den 6. Platz, nachdem er Horgmo überholt hatte, und begnügte sich am Ende mit einem vielversprechenden 8. Platz. Die Leistung des Rennens war ohne Zweifel die Leistung von Mikkel Haarup vom WZ RACING TEAM, der nach einem schlechten Start, bei dem er in der ersten Runde auf dem 22. Platz landete, unglaubliches Können gezeigt hatte. Der dänische Fahrer verbesserte sich methodisch und belegte den 9. Platz vor Isak Gifting vom VHR Racing Team, der konstant in den Top 10 fuhr und sich mit dem 10. zufrieden gab.
Im zweiten Rennen setzte sich L.Coenen mit dem FOX Holeshot als Bester durch und übernahm die Führung, die er nie mehr abgab. L.Coenen zeigte an diesem Wochenende ein unglaubliches Tempo. Leider verpasste der junge Belgier seinen ersten Podiumsplatz um 1 Punkt.
Hinter L.Coenen stand sein Teamkollege de Wolf, der Druck machte, aber nicht in Führung gehen konnte. Es ging jedoch nur um Benistant, denn der französische Fahrer zeigte weiterhin ein sehr gutes Tempo, wurde in Runde 1 Dritter und stürmte unermüdlich weiter nach vorne, um schließlich de Wolf innen zu überholen und sich den 2. Platz zu sichern. Benistant behielt seinen 2. Platz bis zum Schluss und konnte das Gefühl genießen, vor den Fans zu gewinnen, die ihn anfeuerten. Mit einem starken 2:1 sicherte sich Benistant seinen zweiten GP-Sieg der Saison und verkürzte seinen Rückstand in der Meisterschaft.
De Wolf erlebte das gleiche Rennen, da er die Geschwindigkeit von Adamo und Everts nicht bremsen konnte und sich am Ende mit dem fünften Platz begnügen musste, um insgesamt den fünften Platz zu erreichen.
Wir gewöhnen uns jetzt an einen Kampf zwischen Adamo und Everts, bei dem beide Fahrer so viel Stärke und Wettbewerbsfähigkeit zeigen, um sich gegenseitig zu pushen. Dieses Mal war es Adamo, der Everts am meisten herausholte, als er ihn in Runde 14 überholte, nachdem er in Runde 1 vom 8. Platz nach vorne gerutscht war. Everts gab sich mit dem 4. Platz zufrieden. Beide Fahrer standen auf dem Podium, was das Selbstvertrauen nur noch steigern kann.
Der überraschende Rossi zeigte eine weitere erstaunliche Leistung, da er nach einem durchschnittlichen Start auf dem 12. Platz ebenfalls zurückfallen musste. Der junge EMX250-Fahrer gewöhnte sich sehr schnell an die anspruchsvollen Herausforderungen des MX2. Rossi scheute die Kämpfe nicht und kletterte am Ende auf den 6. Platz. Mit 8-6 und einem 7. Gesamtrang bewies der junge Fahrer, dass er das Zeug dazu hat, mit den besten Fahrern zu konkurrieren.
Van De Moosdijk musste nach einem schlechten Start viel Kraft schöpfen. Der niederländische Fahrer war in der ersten Runde 20., schaffte aber am Ende das unglaubliche Kunststück, auf den 7. Platz vorzurücken, was zeigt, wie hoch sein Selbstvertrauen und seine Qualität sind.
Der andere VRT KTM Factory Juniors-Fahrer Ferruccio Zanchi zeigte ebenfalls, dass er über genügend Qualität verfügt, um Höchstleistungen zu erbringen. Der junge Italiener erreichte einen sehr guten 8. Platz und belegte mit 11-8 den 9. Gesamtrang. Nachdem er im ersten Rennen aufgeben musste, zeigte Quentin Prugnieres vom französischen EMX250-Fahrer Bud Racing Kawasaki eine sehr starke Leistung, belegte in Runde 1 den 10. Platz und fuhr das ganze Rennen über in den Top 10, bis er den 10. Platz belegte.
Die unglaublichste Leistung des zweiten Rennens muss Horgmo zugeschrieben werden, da der Norweger nach Runde 1 auf dem 28. Platz lag. Horgmo zeigte seine bekannte Qualität und unermüdliche Entschlossenheit und schaffte es, sich regelmäßig nach oben zu klettern, um einen spektakulären 9. Platz zu erreichen er belegte insgesamt den 8. Platz. Jan Pancar vom TEM JP253 KTM Racing Team ist weiterhin konstant und schaffte mit einem Ergebnis von 16-11 eine weitere Top-10-Platzierung in der Gesamtwertung, womit er den 10. Platz belegte.
Thibault Benistant: „Das mit so vielen Fans wird mir in Erinnerung bleiben. Mental war es ein paar Rennen lang nicht einfach, aber wir haben die Lösung gefunden, als ich wieder auf die Beine kam. Mir geht es im Moment sehr gut und ich freue mich sehr über dieses Wochenende!“
Andrea Adamo: „Mein Start im zweiten Rennen war nicht so toll, aber ich habe angefangen, die Jungs einzuholen. Es ist unglaublich, auf dem Podium zu stehen und jetzt freuen wir uns auf Lettland.“
Liam Everts: „Ich fühle mich ziemlich gut, meinen zweiten Podiumsplatz zu erreichen. Es war das ganze Wochenende über ein Kampf mit Andrea (Adamo), aber ich denke, es ist gut, da es uns beide nach vorne bringt. Insgesamt ein ziemlich starkes und konstantes Wochenende. Ich bin super zufrieden mit dem dritten Gesamtrang und meinem zweiten Podium.“

REPORT MXGP
In Race 1, Jorge Prado took his 7th FOX Holeshot of the season and powered through to take the lead in front of Ruben Fernandez and Jeffrey Herlings. Herlings quickly passed Fernandez to push forward behind Prado. Prado managed to keep Herlings at bay and even increased his lead up to 6 seconds. After regrouping Herlings paced forward as he set few fastest laps and started to threat Prado on lap 14 of 17. Herlings eventually muscled his way as he took the inside of Prado to take the lead. Herlings never looked back and won the race in front of Prado.
Team HRC’s Ruben Fernandez was the best of the rest as he kept riding at a great tempo to stay 3rd from lap 1 until the end without getting into any trouble. Behind him the battle for the 4th place raged on between Team Gebben Van Venroy Yamaha Racing’s Calvin Vlaanderen and Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP Team’s Glenn Coldenhoff . Coldenhoff looked determined as he took an aggressive line to overtake SM Action Racing Team Yuasa Battery MXGP’s Alberto Forato on lap 2 and sustained his speed to edge closer to Vlaanderen who was riding 4th from the start. Following several tries, lap 13 was the moment for Coldenhoff to get the final word and overtook Vlaanderen for 4th. Vlaanderen settle for a really 5th place.
Romain Febvre managed to get to 6th after an average start that place him 8th on lap 1. The Frenchman showed all his skills as he overtook Standing Construct Honda MXGP’s Brian Bogers for 5th on lap 2 and he had to pick clever lines to pass Forato for 6th on lap 9. Forato made a mistake and had to concede another position on the same lap to Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP Team’s Jeremy Seewer. Forato finished 8th in the end.
Seewer had to draw a lot of energy after a poor start that saw him getting to 11th on lap 1. The recent GP winner moved up quickly to 8th on lap 8. He then capitalised on Forato’s mistake and got to 7th where he finished. Bogers showed good pace as he rode consistently into the top 10 to finish at a good 9th place in front of another good performer MRT Racing Team Beta’s Alessandro Lupino. The Italian managed to get a good start to be 9th on lap 1 but got passed a couple of times and moved down to 11th but Lupino kept battling and got back up to 10th in the end.
De Baets Yamaha MX-Team’s Benoit Paturel went down at the start of the race and unfortunately had to retire from the Grand Prix while JM Honda Racing’s Brent Van doninck also crash during lap 2 and also had to retire from the GP.
In race 2, Jorge Prado took the other FOX Holeshot and kept the lead in front of Febvre and Herlings. Febvre had an excellent flow and managed to pass Prado on lap 4 to lead most of the race but Herlings was simply too fast today as he passed Prado for 2nd on lap 7 and began to increase his pace to edge closer to Febvre. Eventually on lap 13 of 16, Herlings pounced and overtook Febvre to take the lead and win the race to get his first perfect weekend of the season. With a win in the RAM Qualifying Race and 1-1 on Sunday, Herlings got a maximum of point to reduce the points behind Prado.
Febvre settled for a good 2nd place to go 6-2 and finish 3rd overall. Prado on his side continues to be a model of consistency with a 2-3 to keep his Red Plate going. Behind them Coldenhoff displayed a great weekend as he was 4th from start to finish to go 4-4 and a 4th overall.
Seewer managed to get to 5th after coming from the back showing that he is resourceful to salvage important points. 7th on lap 1, passed Bogers for 6th on lap 4 and benefitted from Fernandez’ misfortune on lap 8 to go 5th and finish 5th overall with a 7-5. Bogers, unfortunately had to retire from the race few laps later while podium hopeful, Fernandez was 5th until lap 5 but had a bike problem and had to retire to 9th overall. He lost vital points as he lost one position to Febvre go 4th in the Championship.
Forato showed all his talent to go from 10th on lap 1 to 6th in the end as he passed sand specialist Vlaanderen on lap 7 for 8th and capitalised on Fernandez and Bogers issues to move up to 6th and kept that position until the checkered flag to go 8-6 for 7th overall, bouncing back from France.
Ship to Cycle Honda SR Motoblouz’s Valentin Guillod is another rider that shows consistency into the top 10 over the last Grand Prix as the Swiss managed to finish where he started with a solid 8th position. Lupino seemed to have like these rainy conditions in Kegums as the Italian solidly finished 9th for an encouraging and good 8th overall.
JWR Honda Racing’s Alvin Ostlund made an apparition into the top 10 with a very good performance as the Swedish went from 15th on lap 1 to 10th and getting good points along the way.
In the end Jeffrey Herlings had the perfect weekend with a 1-1-1 to get the maximum points while Jorge Prado keeps the Red Plate and add another podium to his consistent season. Romain Febvre gets a back-to-back podium and moves back up to 3rd in the Championship.
Jeffrey Herlings: “It was not an easy win. In the second race Romain (Febvre) was riding very strong and I had to fight for that one. Overall, I am very happy and pleased to win the Grand Prix. It was a perfect weekend and now I’m looking forward Germany”
Jorge Prado: “I was feeling great on Saturday but today I thought I could have won the first race but Jeffrey (Herlings) made a great charge. I had two great starts with two FOX Holeshots and I’m happy to keep the Red Plate. We are going to keep working to stay consistent and get some wins too and I’m really looking for the next races”
Romain Febvre: “It was a good operation for the weekend. In the second race I got a good start, it was muddy which is conditions that I love and I could pass some riders to get to the front. I had to concede the lead to Jeffrey (Herlings) which was a bit disappointed but I’m happy because my speed is good”

REPORT MX2
In MX2 race 1 it was F&H Kawasaki Racing Team’s Kevin Horgmo who clinched his second FOX Holeshot of the season while Nestaan Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Roan Van de Moosdijk took the lead after that. Van De Moosdijk managed to lead in front of his teammate Nestaan Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Kay de Wolf and Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MX2 Team’s Thibault Benistant who went full gas, front wheel in the air to take the 3rd place from Horgmo.
Between the front three riders, the French atmosphere suited Benistant the most as the French rider managed to set the fastest lap and then pass both Nestaan Husqvarna riders on lap 7 to take the lead. Benistant edged away to win the first race of his home Grand Prix.
Things never settled behind him as both de Wolf and Van De Moosdijk got under pressure by another set of teammates, Andrea Adamo and Liam Everts from Red Bull KTM Factory Racing. It was Van De Moosdijk who got passed twice in a row on lap 8 to move down to 5th where he stayed until the end. De Wolf resisted for 2 laps but Everts passed him on lap 10 to go 2nd. Adamo followed his teammate a lap later to go 3rd but had to battle with de Wolf over the 3rd position in a give and take over 6 laps. It was eventually Adamo who would make the pass stick with 2 laps to go to finish 3rd. de Wolf settle for 4th in the end.
Following a very fast start Horgmo got overtaken few times and finish at a really good 6th place. Finishing the race in 7th was Nestaan Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Lucas Coenen who showed that we can always count on him to never give up. L.Coenen made a great comeback as he found himself 13th on lap 1 after an average start to climb his way up to 7th.
The young EMX250 French rider Team VRT KTM Factory Juniors’ Marc-Antoine Rossi started his first MX2 Grand Prix on home soil with a bang as he demonstrated a lot of control and calm to ride a strong race. Finding himself in 7 after lap 1, he got up to 6th for one lap after overtaking Horgmo and in the end settled for a promising 8th place. The performance of the race was without a doubt the one from WZ RACING TEAM’s Mikkel Haarup who had shown incredible skill after a poor start that saw him turning lap 1 in 22nd position. The Danish rider methodically moved up the rank to finish 9th in front of VHR Racing Team’s Isak Gifting who rode consistently in the top 10 to settle for 10th.
In race 2, L.Coenen took the best of the pack as he got the FOX Holeshot and took the lead to never give it up. L.Coenen showed incredible pace this weekend. Unfortunately the young Belgian missed his first podium for 1 point.
Behind L.Coenen was his teammate de Wolf who pushed but could not make a move for the lead. However it was all about Benistant as the French rider kept showing a very good pace as he went 3rd on lap 1 and tirelessly kept charging forward to finally overtake de Wolf on the inside to take the 2nd place. Benistant went on to keep his 2nd place until the end and could enjoy the feeling of winning in front of fans cheering for him. With a strong 2-1 Benistant got his second GP win of the season and reduce the gap in the Championship.
De Wolf experienced the same kind of race as he could not contain Adamo and Everts speed and had to settle for 5th in the end for a 5th overall.
We are now getting used to a battle between Adamo and Everts with both riders showing so much strength and competitiveness to push each other. This time it was Adamo who got the best on Everts as he overtook him on lap 14 after going from the 8th place on lap 1. Everts settled for 4th. Both riders made the podium which can only increase the confidence.
The surprising Rossi showed another amazing performance as he also had to come behind after an average start in 12th. The young EMX250 rider acclimated very quickly to the demanding challenges of MX2. Rossi didn’t shy away from the battles and climbed up to 6th in the end. With 8-6 and a 7th overall, the young rider proved that he has what it takes to compete with the best riders.
Van De Moosdijk had to draw a lot of energy after a bad start. The Dutch rider was 20th on lap 1 but managed the incredible feat to move up to the 7th place in the end showing how high his confidence and quality are.
The other VRT KTM Factory Juniors rider Ferruccio Zanchi also showed that he has plenty of quality to perform at the highest level. The young Italian managed a very good 8th place going 11-8 for 9th overall. After having to retire in race 1, EMX250 French rider Bud Racing Kawasaki’s Quentin Prugnieres displayed a very strong ride getting 10th on lap 1 and riding inside the top 10 all throughout the race to finish 10th.
The most incredible performance of race 2 has to be attributed to Horgmo as the Norwegian was 28th after lap 1. Showing his well-known quality and a tireless determination, Horgmo managed to climb his way up regularly to finish at a spectacular 9th place which place him 8th overall. TEM JP253 KTM Racing Team’s Jan Pancar continues to be consistent as he managed another top 10 overall with a 16-11 placing him 10th.
Thibault Benistant: “I will remember that one with so many fans. It was not easy mentally for a couple of races but we found the solution as I bounce back. I feel very good at the moment and I am very happy about this weekend!”
Andrea Adamo: “My start in race two was not great but I started to go and go to catch the guys. It’s unbelievable to be on the podium and now we look forward for Latvia.”
Liam Everts: “I feel pretty good to get my second podium. It was a battle with Andrea (Adamo} all weekend but I think it’s good as it pushes us both forward. Overall a pretty strong and consistent weekend. I’m super happy with third overall and my second podium.”
