Nagl gewinnt alle drei Läufe in Fürstlich Drehna. Tom Koch und Adam Sterry runden das Gesamtpodium ab. Lokalmatador und Klassen-Rookie Maximilian Spies auf Platz vier.
Max Nagl (D/KMP Honda Racing powered by Krettek) dominiert den Saisonauftakt des ADAC MX Masters mit drei Start-Ziel-Siegen in Fürstlich Drehna vor 10.500 Fans am Wochenende. Hinter dem Titelverteidiger platzierten sich Tom Koch (D/Kosak Racing Team) und Adam Sterry (GB/KTM Sarholz Racing Team) auf dem Gesamtpodium. Lokalmatador Maximilian Spies (D/Kosak Racing Team) debütierte mit Rang vier erfolgreich in der Top-Klasse der Serie.
Max Nagl wechselte für diese Saison sowohl die Motorradmarke als auch das Rennteam, spurtete jedoch beim Auftaktrennen am Samstagnachmittag gewohnt stark aus dem Startgatter. Mit dem Red Bull Holeshot legte er den Grundstein zum ersten Laufsieg des Jahres. Serien-Rückkehrer Henry Jacobi (D/KTM Sarholz Racing Team) konnte Nagl das gesamte Rennen lang folgen, jedoch bis ins Ziel keinen Angriff starten. Tom Koch setzte sich mit etwas Abstand schnell auf die Verfolgerposition hinter dem Spitzenduo und wurde ungefährdeter Dritter. Mark Scheu (D/Sixty Seven) zeigte ein starkes Rennen und lag bis zur Rennmitte auf dem vierten Rang, bevor er zunächst von Michael Sandner (A/HTS KTM) und dann vom ADAC Stiftung Sport-Förderpiloten Maximilian Spies aus den Top-Fünf verdrängt wurde. Der zweifache ADAC MX Masters-Champion Jordi Tixier (F/KMP Honda Racing powered by Krettek) musste das Rennen vorzeitig mit einem gebrochenen Hinterrad beenden.

Am Sonntag machte Nagl im zweiten Wertungslauf so weiter, wie er am Samstag begonnen hatte. Er gewann erneut den Red Bull Holeshot und setzte sich vor Sterry, Jakub Teresak (CZ/Enduro Koch Racing), Tixier und Koch an die Spitze. Jacobi und Spies dagegen wurden beim Start abgeklemmt und mussten das Rennen von weit hinten aufnehmen. Nagl fuhr sich schnell einen kleinen Vorsprung vor Sterry heraus, Koch arbeitet sich in der fünften Runde auf den dritten Platz vor. Erneut kontrollierte Nagl seine Führung bis ins Ziel, während Koch zum Rennende Sterry unter Druck setze, den Briten jedoch nicht mehr passieren konnte. Jacobi kämpfte sich bis ins Ziel noch auf den vierten Rang vor Tixier nach vorne.
Auch im dritten Rennen setzte sich Nagl bereits beim Start in Führung und baute kontinuierlich einen Vorsprung auf, um den dritten Start-Ziel-Sieg des Wochenendes zu erringen. Jacobi musste sich im Startgerangel erneut weit hinten einsortieren. Zunächst lag Nico Koch (D/Becker Racing) hinter Nagl auf der Verfolgerposition vor Klassenaufsteiger Noah Ludwig (D/Becker Racing). In der sechsten Runde hatte sich Tom Koch jedoch vom achten Rang auf den zweiten Platz vorgefahren und nahm die Verfolgung Nagls auf. Zwischenzeitlich konnte er dessen Vorsprung etwas reduzieren, doch Nagl konterte und zog ebenfalls das Tempo an. Nico Koch hielt bis fünf Runden vor Rennende die dritte Position, bevor er sich von Tixier und Sterry überholen ließ, eine Runde später passierte ihn auch noch Ludwig, der damit die Top-Fünf des Laufes abrundete. Jacobi beendete das Rennen nach einem Sturz nicht.

Die Veranstaltungswertung ging mit Maximalpunktzahl an Nagl, vor Tom Koch, Sterry, Spies und Jacobi, was auch dem Tabellenstand entspricht.
„Das Wochenende lief besser als erwartet, denn auf einem neuen Motorrad und in einem neuen Team war das Podium mein Ziel. Dass ich mit drei Start-Ziel-Siegen aus Fürstlich Drehna abreise, hat mich selbst überrascht. Meine drei Holeshots waren der Grundstein zum Erfolg. Einfach war es dennoch nicht, denn die Konkurrenz ist stark und ich musste in jedem Rennen pushen und konnte keinen großen Vorsprung herausfahren“, strahlte Nagl über seinen Sieg.
„Die Saison hätte mit drei Podestplatzierungen in den Läufen kaum besser starten können. Nur meine Starts muss ich noch etwas verbessern, denn Max war in allen Rennen direkt vorne und damit weg. Mit meinem Fahren bin ich jedoch sehr zufrieden. Die Stimmung mit den vielen Fans war super und ich habe es sehr genossen, vor so einer tollen Kulisse zufahren“, zeigte sich Tom Koch zufrieden mit dem Saisonstart.
Adam Sterry fuhr mit konstanten Resultaten auf Platz drei der Gesamtwertung:
„Mein Ziel war es, die Saison solide auf dem Gesamtpodium zu beginnen, das hat funktioniert und damit bin ich zufrieden“, zog Sterry Bilanz seines Wochenendes.

Max Nagl (D/KMP Honda Racing powered by Krettek) dominated the season opener of the ADAC MX Masters with three start-finish victories in Fürstlich Drehna in front of 10,500 fans at the weekend. Behind the defending champion, Tom Koch (D/Kosak Racing Team) and Adam Sterry (GB/KTM Sarholz Racing Team) finished on the overall podium. Local hero Maximilian Spies (D/Kosak Racing Team) made his successful debut in the top class of the series with fourth place.
Max Nagl changed both the motorcycle brand and the racing team for this season, but sprinted out of the gate as strongly as usual in the opening race on Saturday afternoon. With the Red Bull Holeshot, he laid the foundation for the first race win of the year. Series returnee Henry Jacobi (D/KTM Sarholz Racing Team) was able to follow Nagl for the entire race, but did not start an attack until the finish. Tom Koch quickly took over the chasing position behind the top duo with a little distance and was third without any threats. Mark Scheu (D/Sixty Seven) showed a strong race and was in fourth place until the middle of the race, before he was pushed out of the top five by Michael Sandner (A/HTS KTM) and then by ADAC Sports Foundation protégé Maximilian Spies became. Two-time ADAC MX Masters champion Jordi Tixier (F/KMP Honda Racing powered by Krettek) had to retire early with a broken rear wheel.

On Sunday, Nagl continued in the second race as he had started on Saturday. He won the Red Bull Holeshot again and took the lead ahead of Sterry, Jakub Teresak (CZ/Enduro Koch Racing), Tixier and Koch. Jacobi and Spies, on the other hand, were pinched off at the start and had to start the race from far behind. Nagl quickly built up a small lead over Sterry, while Koch worked his way up to third place on the fifth lap. Again Nagl controlled his lead until the finish, while Koch put Sterry under pressure at the end of the race, but was unable to pass the Briton. Jacobi fought his way up to fourth place ahead of Tixier.
In the third race, too, Nagl took the lead at the start and continuously built up a lead in order to achieve the third start-finish victory of the weekend. Jacobi again had to sort himself far behind in the starting tussle. At first, Nico Koch (D/Becker Racing) was behind Nagl in the chasing position in front of class climber Noah Ludwig (D/Becker Racing). In the sixth lap, however, Tom Koch had moved up from eighth place to second place and started chasing Nagl. In the meantime he was able to reduce his lead a bit, but Nagl countered and also increased the pace. Nico Koch held third position until five laps before the end of the race, before being overtaken by Tixier and Sterry, one lap later Ludwig passed him, rounding out the top five of the race. Jacobi did not finish the race after a fall.

The event rating went to Nagl with maximum points, ahead of Tom Koch, Sterry, Spies and Jacobi, which also corresponds to the standings.
“The weekend went better than expected because the podium was my goal on a new bike and with a new team. I was surprised that I left Fürstlich Drehna with three start-finish victories. My three holeshots were the cornerstone of success. It wasn’t easy though, because the competition is strong and I had to push in every race and couldn’t get a big lead,” beamed Nagl about his victory.
“The season could hardly have started better with three podium finishes in the races. I just have to improve my starts a bit, because Max was right up front in all races and was therefore away. However, I am very happy with my driving. The mood with the many fans was great and I really enjoyed driving in front of such a great crowd,” said Tom Koch, who was satisfied with the start of the season.
Adam Sterry finished third overall with consistent results:
‚My goal was to start the season solidly on the overall podium, that worked and I’m happy with that,‘ Sterry summarized his weekend.
