Der Deckel ist drauf, auf der DEM-Saison 2022! Die letzten drei noch zu vergebenen Titel gingen an Edward Hübner (E1), der seine mittlerweile sechste Deutsche Meisterschaft feiern durfte, sowie an Philipp Müller (E2) und Milan Schmüser (Junioren), für die es beide jeweils der erste DEM-Titelgewinn ist!
Vor allem der Kampf um die E2-Krone war an Dramatik nicht zu überbieten! Bereits gestern der Ausfall von Tilman Krause, stellte das Geschehen komplett auf den Kopf. Heute nun erwischte es Jeremy Sydow, der gleich im ersten Test seine Sherco mit technischem Defekt abstellte und damit den möglichen und durchaus realistischen Titelgewinn abschreiben konnte. Dadurch war plötzlich Philipp Müller Titelkandidat Nummer eins, wenngleich er noch am Vorabend zugab, den Lenker kaum noch festhalten zu können. Der Beta-Fahrer verletzte sich vor einigen Wochen an der Hand, schlug sich diese in Streitberg beim Prolog und auch in Zschopau erneut heftig an. Doch der 28-Jährige biss die Zähne zusammen und kämpfte sich unter mächtigen Schmerzen auch am heutigen, zweiten Fahrtag ins Ziel. Dort wurde er mit einer ordentlichen Sektdusche empfangen. „Es ist einfach unglaublich. Was für ein kompletter Wahnsinn! Ich kann es gar nicht begreifen“, so der total fassungslose und überglückliche Philipp Müller, dem heute ein dritter Rang für seinen größten Erfolg genügte. Platz eins in der E2 ging an Chris Gundermann, der seinen ersten DEM-Tagessieg feierte! Zweiter wurde Nick Emmrich, der damit sogar noch in der E2-Endabrechnung auf den Silberrang kletterte.
Der E1-Titel geht an Edward Hübner, der damit das halbe Dutzend voll macht. Meisterschaft Nummer sechs sei für ihn die schwerste gewesen, wie der KTM-Fahrer ehrlich zu gibt. „Es war für mich ein echt hartes Jahr. Ich hatte einige Verletzungen und krankheitsbedingte Ausfälle zu verkraften. Auch Anfang der Woche lag ich wieder mit einer Erkältung komplett flach“, so der frisch gebackene E1-Meister, der im Ziel total platt, aber sichtlich zufrieden wirkte. „Und die Konkurrenz hat es mir dieses Jahr auch keineswegs leicht gemacht. Yanik war immer stark. Zu Saisonbeginn natürlich auch Andi und gegen Ende dann Tristan. Ich musste immer am Ball bleiben“, so der 34-jährige Routinier, der seinen Konkurrenten Tristan Hanak und Yanik Spachmüller, vor denen er heute die Tageswertung gewann, sowie Andreas Beier ein großes Kompliment machte.
Und noch einer strahlte über beide Ohren: Milan Schmüser! Er gewann den Junioren-Titel standesgemäß mit einem weiteren Tagessieg, vor Hannes Lehmann und Leon Thoms. „Es war ein großartiges Wochenende. Die Prüfungen haben super viel Spaß gemacht und ich bin einfach nur glücklich, den Titel zu gewonnen zu haben. Das war mein Plan und der ist aufgegangen!“
Bemerkenswert ist zudem, dass der 19-jährige Sherco-Fahrer heute sogar den zweiten Rang im Championat, vor Edward Hübner belegte! Der Sieg ging an Luca Fischeder, der außerdem erneut die E3 dominierte. Somit holte das Sherco-Aushängeschild auch am Finaltag, diesmal vor Florian Görner und Robert Riedel, die Maximalpunktzahl. „Heute zum Saisonabschluss war es noch einmal ein richtig guter Tag. Ich habe mich körperlich wesentlich besser gefühlt als gestern und der Fuß war gut getapt“, lacht der Championatssieger, der zugibt, „natürlich war heute, dadurch das ich gestern schon alle Titel einfahren konnte, der ganze Druck weg. So konnte ich befreit fahren. Ich bin einfach nur happy, wie das ganze Wochenende ausgegangen ist!“
Die Mannschaftswertung gewann dieses Mal das Team ADAC Niedersachsen/Sachsen-Anhalt mit Milan Schmüser, Tristan Hanak und Yanik Spachmüller, der kurzfristig für Tilman Krause eingesprungen war.

The lid is on, on the DEM season 2022! The last three titles still to be awarded went to Edward Hübner (E1), who was able to celebrate his sixth German championship, as well as to Philipp Müller (E2) and Milan Schmüser (Juniors), for both of whom it is the first DEM title win!
Above all, the fight for the E2 crown couldn’t be surpassed in terms of drama! Tilman Krause’s failure yesterday turned events completely upside down. Jeremy Sydow got it today, who parked his Sherco in the first test due to a technical defect and was therefore able to write off the possible and quite realistic title win. As a result, Philipp Müller was suddenly the number one title candidate, although he admitted the night before that he could hardly hold on to the handlebars. The beta driver injured his hand a few weeks ago, hit it hard in the prologue in Streitberg and again in Zschopau. But the 28-year-old gritted his teeth and fought his way to the finish line on today’s, second day of driving, in great pain. There he was welcomed with a proper champagne shower. ‚It’s just incredible. What complete madness! I can’t understand it at all,‘ said the totally stunned and overjoyed Philipp Müller, for whom a third place was enough for his greatest success today. First place in the E2 went to Chris Gundermann, who celebrated his first DEM day win! Second was Nick Emmrich, who even climbed to silver in the E2 final.
The E1 title goes to Edward Hübner, who completes the half-dozen. Championship number six was the hardest for him, as the KTM rider honestly admits. ‚It’s been a really tough year for me. I had to cope with a number of injuries and illness-related absences. At the beginning of the week I was completely flat again with a cold,‘ said the newly crowned E1 champion, who seemed totally exhausted at the finish, but visibly satisfied. “And the competition didn’t make it easy for me this year either. Yanik was always strong. At the beginning of the season, of course, Andi and then Tristan towards the end. I always had to stay on the ball,” said the 34-year-old veteran, who complimented his rivals Tristan Hanak and Yanik Spachmüller, before whom he won the day’s classification today, as well as Andreas Beier.
And another beamed from ear to ear: Milan Schmüser! He won the junior title befitting his status with another day’s win, ahead of Hannes Lehmann and Leon Thoms. “It was a great weekend. The stages were a lot of fun and I’m just happy to have won the title. That was my plan and it worked!”
It is also remarkable that the 19-year-old Sherco driver even took second place in the championship today, ahead of Edward Hübner! Victory went to Luca Fischeder, who also dominated the E3 again. Thus, the Sherco flagship also got the maximum number of points on the final day, this time in front of Florian Görner and Robert Riedel. “Today, at the end of the season, it was another really good day. Physically I felt much better than yesterday and my foot was well taped,‘ laughs the championship winner, who admits, ‚of course, because I was able to win all the titles yesterday, all the pressure was gone today. So I could drive freely. I’m just happy how the whole weekend turned out!‘
This time the ADAC Lower Saxony/Saxony-Anhalt team won the team classification with Milan Schmüser, Tristan Hanak and Yanik Spachmüller, who had stepped in for Tilman Krause at short notice.
