DRAMA: Es ist jetzt offiziell, Taddy Blazusiak wurde von der FIM – Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme verboten, am #PolishGP teilzunehmen.
Die Tauron Arena hatte die Fahrer von Anfang an in Atem gehalten, da ein anspruchsvolles und technisches Layout auf sie wartete. Eine Strecke, die die Teilnehmer dazu zwang, sowohl körperlich als auch geistig in Höchstform zu sein. Es war jedoch eine der spannendsten Runden der letzten Jahre, obwohl der stets starke BILLY BOLT (GBR-Husqvarna) erneut einen Gesamtsieg, die 24MX-Bestenliste und die beste Zeit in der SuperPole mit nach Hause nahm. Der Husqvarna-Werksfahrer musste vom Start des ersten Rennens an ein Auge auf Jonny WALKER (GBR-Beta) haben, und beim Airoh Holeshot lieferte er sich ein Kopf-an-Kopf-Rennen, wobei BOLT knapp vor WALKER lag. Hinter den beiden Briten platzierte sich der Lokalmatador Dominik OLSZOWY (POL-Rieju) im Rennen, obwohl er weitaus weniger Erfahrung hatte als die beiden Kraftpakete vor ihm. Es gelang ihm, vor Leuten wie Will HOARE (GBR-Beta) und Manuel LETTENBICHLER (GER-KTM) zu bleiben. Zurück an der Spitze hielt WALKER immer noch das Hinterrad von BOLT fest. Die beiden Männer lieferten ein spannendes Rennen und machten keine Fehler. Erst als sie die „Tailender“ erwischten, gelang es BOLT, sich einen kleinen Vorteil gegenüber dem Beta-Fahrer zu verschaffen. In den Schlussrunden gelang es HOARE, sich den Vorsprung vor LETTENBICHLER und OLSZOWY zu sichern.
WALKER strebt dem Sieg entgegen
Am Ende des zweiten Rennens herrschte Aufruhr in der Tauron Arena, als Jonny WALKER das Undenkbare tat und als Erster die Ziellinie überquerte und damit bewies, dass Billy BOLT tatsächlich geschlagen werden kann. Seine Gegner hatten schon eine Weile auf die Gelegenheit gewartet, die Lage des dreifachen Weltmeisters durcheinander zu bringen. Der Sieg von Jonny WALKER nahm trotz der umgekehrten Startaufstellung schnell Gestalt an, als es ihm gelang, den Spitzenreiter Mitch BRIGHTMORE (GBR-GASGAS) reibungslos zu überholen und sich an der Spitze in seinen eigenen Rhythmus einzufügen. BOLT, der bei Rennen mit umgekehrter Startaufstellung oft eine stabile Einstellung an den Tag legt, befand sich länger als erhofft im Feld und blieb im Verkehr stecken. Alle Zuschauer erwarteten immer noch, dass der Husqvarna-Fahrer seinen gewohnten Vorstoß an die Spitze machen würde, aber je mehr Runden vergingen, desto mehr schien es, als hätte WALKER alles unter Kontrolle. Ein kleiner Sturz des Beta-Fahrers in der letzten Runde brachte die Menge auf die Beine, aber er kam immer noch schneller zurück, als BOLT ihn einholen konnte, und holte sich einen hervorragenden Rennsieg. Dahinter belegte Will HOARE erneut den dritten Platz, knapp vor Dominik OLSZOWY, der dieses Mal LETTENBICHLER kontrollieren konnte.
Mit einem Sieg pro Stück für die beiden Briten war im letzten Rennen des Abends alles offen. BOLT, angespornt durch die Tatsache, dass er noch einen letzten Kampf bestreiten musste, legte einen Blitzstart hin und stürmte direkt auf den Airoh Holeshot zu. WALKER und OLSZOWY belegten die starken Plätze zwei und drei und gaben dem Publikum viel Grund zum Jubeln. Es dauerte nicht lange, bis es zu einer Schlacht der Briten kam, als BOLT und WALKER sich nach vorne davonzogen. Der Abstand zwischen den beiden blieb sehr gering, zur Halbzeit des Rennens trennten sie weniger als zwei Sekunden. Der Kampf blieb bis zur Zielflagge intensiv, aber WALKER konnte seinen Freund nicht ganz übertreffen. BOLT gewann das letzte Rennen mit Stil und holte sich an diesem Abend erneut den Gesamtsieg. Der dritte Platz in der Gesamtwertung wurde zwischen LETTENBICHLER und HOARE ausgetragen, nachdem OLSZOWY im dritten Rennen einige späte Stürze hinnehmen musste und in der Rangliste zurückfiel. Der Engländer belegte im letzten Rennen des Abends den 4. Platz, nur einen Platz hinter seinem deutschen Rivalen, und sicherte sich damit erneut den Gesamtsieg auf dem Podium.
BOLT gewann damit den GP von Polen vor WALKER und HOARE. Dieser britische Hattrick war identisch mit dem der ersten Runde in Frankreich, und alle drei hoffen, das Kunststück wiederholen zu können, wenn die Meisterschaft im neuen Jahr nach Deutschland geht. Billy BOLT festigt seine Führung in der Weltrangliste und verlässt das Jahr 2023 mit 14 Punkten Vorsprung vor Jonny WALKER. Natürlich ist HOARE Dritter in der Gesamtwertung, 27 Punkte hinter WALKER und 41 Punkte hinter BOLT.

Junior: Ashton Brightmore übernimmt die Kontrolle
Die Klasse für die jüngsten Fahrer auf der Strecke bot die ganze Nacht über brillante Action und spannende Rennen. Ashton BRIGHTMORE (GBR-GASGAS), Roland LISZKA (HUN-KTM) und Suff SELLA (ISR-KTM) fuhren alle hervorragend und bewiesen, dass sich in der Juniorenklasse mindestens ein Dreikampf um den Titel anbahnt. Die drei Jugendlichen tauschten während der drei Rennen immer wieder die Positionen, aber BRIGHTMORE gewann das erste und letzte Rennen des Abends, während LISZKA das zweite Rennen gewann. SELLA fühlte sich weniger wohl als beim GP von Frankreich, kämpfte jedoch darum, in der Nähe seiner beiden Gegner zu bleiben. Er führte mehrmals, aber ein paar Stürze und unglückliche Momente verdorben den Abend für den Israeli, der die Führung in der Juniorenmeisterschaft an den stets beeindruckenden BRIGHTMORE verlor. Nur drei Punkte trennen BRIGHTMORE und SELLA auf dem Weg zur dritten Runde, während LISZKA 16 Punkte von der Spitze entfernt liegt.

EUROPÄISCHER CUP: XAVI LEON SOLE glänzt in Krakau
Der beliebte spanische Fahrer Xavi LEON SOLE (ESP-GASGAS) gewann den Eröffnungsabend des Europacups. Er belegte im ersten Rennen den dritten Platz, wo er von Alessandro AZZALINI (ITA-GASGAS) und dem polnischen Fahrer Maciej WIECKOWSKI (POL-GASGAS) geschlagen wurde – sehr zur Freude der Fans. In der zweiten Runde versuchte ein weiterer Pole, Hubert ZBIKOWSKI (POL-KTM), LEON SOLE die Show zu stehlen, als er vom heimischen Publikum angefeuert wurde. Dem Spanier gelang es jedoch, in einem schwierigen Felsabschnitt die Führung zu übernehmen und sein erstes Rennen zu gewinnen, indem er sich den Gesamtsieg in der Runde in Polen sicherte. Positiv für die polnischen Fans war, dass WIECKOWSKI und ZBIKOWSKI das letzte Podium komplettierten.

Die nächste Runde der MotoZ FIM SuperEnduro-Weltmeisterschaft findet kurz nach der Weihnachtspause am 6. Januar 2024 in der SachsenArena in Riesa, Deutschland, statt.
Billy Bolt: „Um ehrlich zu sein, glaube ich, dass alle nach dem zweiten Rennen erwartet hatten, dass ich ziemlich wütend sein würde, aber ich war mit meinem Fahren zufrieden. Beim Start in der umgekehrten Startaufstellung hielt ich mich etwas zurück, aber dann brauchte ich zu lange, um an die Spitze zu kommen – plötzlich wurde mir klar, dass Jonny mit vier Motorrädern vorne lag und es eigentlich zu spät war. Aber insgesamt lief es wirklich gut, ich habe meine Linie in den Felsen geändert und das hat mir im letzten Rennen geholfen. Ich kann Weihnachten mit einem weiteren Gesamtsieg genießen, viele Grüße an alle!“
Jonny Walker: „Es war heute Abend gut, ich hatte das Gefühl, dass ich ein starkes Tempo hatte, und ich habe auch nicht allzu viele Fehler gemacht. Wieder Zweiter in der Gesamtwertung, aber ich freue mich auf Deutschland, besonders nachdem ich heute Abend Billy in einem der Rennen geschlagen habe! Wir hatten ein paar schöne Duelle und es ist immer ein faires Rennen zwischen uns beiden, außerdem war es eine schöne Show für die Fans. Die Strecke war schwierig, aber es hat wirklich viel Spaß gemacht. Ich kann mit einem guten Gefühl in die Weihnachtsferien gehen.“
Will Hoare: „Ich bin heute Abend glücklich, vor allem, weil ich es nicht einmal in die Superpole geschafft habe. Um ehrlich zu sein, denke ich, dass dieser Rückschlag mich für die Rennen motiviert hat. Die drei Rennen verliefen wirklich gut und ich wurde insgesamt Dritter. Daher bin ich mit diesem Ergebnis zufrieden, nachdem ich das Gleiche vor ein paar Wochen auch in Frankreich geschafft habe. Es ist gut für mich, mit diesen Top-Jungs zu laufen, und ich hoffe, dass es mir auch in Deutschland so geht.“
Ashton Brightmore: „Ich habe mich die ganze Nacht über gut gefühlt, ich habe alles gut überstanden und als ich einen großen Vorsprung hatte, habe ich einfach versucht, fehlerfrei zu bleiben. Im zweiten Rennen war es wie üblich eine umgekehrte Startaufstellung, wir haben uns alle zusammengefunden und es war ein knappes Rennen! Roland (Liszka) hat gewonnen, was schön für ihn und gut für mich war. Es war eine technische Strecke mit vielen verschiedenen Linien, also musste ich wirklich ruhig bleiben. Suff (Sella) und Roland fuhren wirklich gut und ich bin so begeistert, den Gesamtsieg und die rote Platte zu holen.“

DRAMA: It is now official but Taddy Blazusiak has not been allowed by the FIM – Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme to enter the #PolishGP.
The Tauron Arena had the riders on edge from the very beginning as a challenging and technical layout awaited them. A track that forced the competitors to be on top form both physically and mentally. However, it made for one of the most tense rounds of recent years, despite the fact that the ever-strong BILLY BOLT (GBR-Husqvarna) once again took home an overall win, the 24MX Leader Plate and the best time in SuperPole. The factory Husqvarna rider had to keep an eye on Jonny WALKER (GBR-Beta) from the very start of the first race, and it was neck and neck for the Airoh Holeshot, with BOLT just edging in front of WALKER. Behind the two Brits, local hero Dominik OLSZOWY (POL-Rieju) placed himself in contention despite having far less experience than the two powerhouses in front of him. He managed to stay ahead of the likes of Will HOARE (GBR-Beta) and Manuel LETTENBICHLER (GER-KTM). Back in the lead, WALKER was still hanging on to BOLT’s rear wheel, the two men delivering a thrilling race and making no mistakes. It was only when they caught the ‘tailenders’ that BOLT managed to take a little advantage over the Beta rider. In the closing laps HOARE managed to grab the advantage over LETTENBICHLER and OLSZOWY.
WALKER Strides to Victory
There was uproar in the Tauron Arena at the end of race two, when Jonny WALKER did the unthinkable and crossed the line in first place, proving that Billy BOLT can indeed be beaten. His opponents had been waiting a while for the opportunity to shake things up for the three-time World Champion. Jonny WALKER’s victory quickly took shape, despite the reverse grid start, as he managed to pass early-leader Mitch BRIGHTMORE (GBR-GASGAS) smoothly and slot into his own rhythm out front. BOLT, who often has a steady approach to the reverse grid races, found himself down the field for longer than he’d hoped, and stuck in traffic. All onlookers still expected the Husqvarna rider to make his usual charge to the front, but as more laps passed it seemed WALKER had everything under control. A small fall for the Beta rider on the final lap had the crowd on their feet, but he still rejoined faster than BOLT could catch him and claimed an excellent race victory. Behind them, Will HOARE once again ranked third, just ahead of Dominik OLSZOWY who managed to control LETTENBICHLER this time.
With one win a piece for the two Brits, it was all to play for in the final race of the night. BOLT, spurred on by the fact that he had to put in one final fight, made a lightning start and dashed straight for the Airoh Holeshot. WALKER and OLSZOWY slotted into strong second and third positions, giving the crowd plenty to cheer about. Before long it was a battle of the Brits as BOLT and WALKER pulled away out front. The gap between the pair remained very small, with less than two seconds separating them at the halfway point of the race. The battle remained intense until the chequered flag, but WALKER couldn’t quite gain the advantage over his friend. BOLT won the last race in style and once again took overall victory on the night. Third place overall was fought out between LETTENBICHLER and HOARE after OLSZOWY suffered some late falls in the third race and dropped down the order. The Englishman placed 4th in the last race of the night, just one spot behind his German rival, allowing him to claim the overall podium once again.
BOLT therefore won the Polish GP ahead of WALKER and HOARE. This British hat-trick was identical to that of the first round in France, and all three are hoping to repeat the feat when the Championship heads to Germany in the new year. Billy BOLT consolidates his leadership in the world rankings, and he leaves 2023 14 points ahead of Jonny WALKER. Naturally, HOARE is third in the standings, 27 points behind WALKER and 41 behind BOLT.

Junior: Ashton Brightmore Takes Control
The class for the youngest riders on track provided brilliant action and close racing all night. Ashton BRIGHTMORE (GBR-GASGAS), Roland LISZKA (HUN-KTM) and Suff SELLA (ISR-KTM) all rode superbly and proved that there’s at least a three-way title fight brewing in the Junior class. The three youngsters kept swapping positions during the three races, but it was BRIGHTMORE who won the first and last races of the night, while LISZKA won the second race. Less comfortable than during the French GP, SELLA nevertheless fought to try to stay close to his two adversaries. He led on several occasions, but a few falls and unlucky moments spoiled the evening for the Israeli who lost the lead in the Junior championship to the ever-impressive BRIGHTMORE. Just three points separate BRIGHTMORE and SELLA as we head towards round three, while LISZKA sits 16 points from the top.

EUROPEAN CUP: XAVI LEON SOLE Shines in Krakow
The popular Spanish rider Xavi LEON SOLE (ESP-GASGAS) won the opening night of the European Cup. He placed third in the first race, where he was beaten by Alessandro AZZALINI (ITA-GASGAS) and Polish rider Maciej WIECKOWSKI (POL-GASGAS) – much to the delight of the fans. In the second round another Pole, Hubert ZBIKOWSKI (POL-KTM), looked to steal the show from LEON SOLE when he was urged on by the home crowd. However, the Spaniard managed to take the lead on a tricky rock section and win his first race, taking the overall round victory in Poland. On the plus side for the Polish fans, WIECKOWSKI and ZBIKOWSKI completed the final podium.

The next round of the MotoZ FIM SuperEnduro World Championship will take place just after the Christmas break in the SachsenArena in Riesa, Germany on January 6th 2024.
Billy Bolt: “To be honest, after the second race I think everyone was expecting me to be pretty angry but I was happy with my riding. I held back a bit for the reverse grid start but then I took too long to get to the front – suddenly I realised Jonny was four bikes in front and it was too late really. But overall, it went really well, I changed my line in the rocks and that helped me in the final race. I can go and enjoy Christmas with another overall win, big love to everyone!”
Jonny Walker: “It was good tonight, I felt like I had strong pace, I didn’t make too many mistakes either. Second overall again but I’m looking forward to Germany, especially after beating Billy in one of the races tonight! We had some nice battles and it’s always fair racing between us two, plus it was a nice show for the fans. The track was difficult but it was really good fun. I can go for the Christmas break feeling good.”
Will Hoare: “I’m happy tonight, especially as I didn’t even get into the Superpole. To be honest I think that setback gee’d me up for the races. The three races went really well and I got third overall, so I’m happy with that result after also doing the same in France a couple of weeks ago. It’s good for me to be running with these top guys and I’m hoping for the same again in Germany.”
Ashton Brightmore: “I felt good all night, I kept it safe and when I had a big lead I just tried to stay mistake free. It was a reverse grid for the second race as usual, and we all bunched together and it was a close one! Roland (Liszka) got the win which was nice for him and good for me. It was a technical track with lots of different lines, so I really had to stay calm. Suff (Sella) and Roland were riding really well and I’m so stoked to get the overall win and the red plate.”
