Der erste Tag des WM-Finales der Hardenduro-Weltmeisterschaft ist Geschichte und Manuel Lettenbichler hat alles richtig gemacht. Zunächst galt es heute Nachmittag die zwei gezeiteten Runden mit bestmöglichem Ergebnis zu absolvieren. Auf diesem Streckenabschnitt wurde auch das vorangegangene freie Training gefahren, so dass knallhart am Kabel gezogen wurde. Manuel Lettenbichler konnte in der zweiten Runde eine Bestzeit hinlegen, die von niemandem getoppt werden konnte. Billy Bolt hielt sich entweder zurück, um nichts zu riskieren, da es für ihn immerhin um den zweiten WM-Platz geht oder er hatte tatsächlich ein Problem, da er auch nur eine gezeitete Runde laut Ergebnisliste ablieferte.

Die Top-16 der Qualifikationsrunde durften beim Red Bull Double Trouble an den Start, dessen Streckenverlauf einen kurze Abstecher durch das Festzelt machte. Fynn Hannenmann war mit P17 leider nicht mehr dabei, doch Manuel Lettenbichler vertrat die Deutschen Farben in Bestzeit. Hier war Billy Bolt wieder mit von der Partie. Welchen Platz er außerhalb des Podiums erreicht hat ist bis dato noch nicht bekannt.

Damit ist der erste Tag des GetzenRodeos 2023 und das Vorgeplänkel zum Final-Lauf der Hardenduro WM in sportlicher Hinsicht bereits Geschichte. Jetzt heißt es nur noch die Tasse bei der Opening Party hoch. Denn am Samstag geht’s dann richtig zur Sache. Wird Manuel Lettenbichler den Hattrick schaffen und sich den vierten Sieg beim GetzenRodeo und damit alle WM-Rennen 2023 für die perfekte Saison für sich entscheiden können? Wir bleiben dran…

The first day of the Hardenduro World Championship final is history and Manuel Lettenbichler did everything right. First of all, this afternoon we had to complete the two timed laps with the best possible result. The previous free practice session was also run on this section of the route, so the cable was pulled hard. Manuel Lettenbichler was able to set a best time in the second lap that no one could top. Billy Bolt either held back so as not to risk anything, since he was after all aiming for second place in the World Championship, or he actually had a problem because he only delivered one timed lap according to the results list.

The top 16 of the qualifying round were allowed to take part in the Red Bull Double Trouble, the route of which included a short detour through the marquee. Unfortunately, Fynn Hannenmann was no longer there with P17, but Manuel Lettenbichler represented the German colors in the best time. Billy Bolt was there again. It is not yet known what place he achieved outside of the podium.
