Fantic präsentiert seine neue Viertakt-Waffe in Form der XEF 250 2021 mit Euro5 auf Basis der Yamaha WR450F respektive YZ250F. Ob sie allerdings zu den leichtesten ihrer Klasse werden wird ist fraglich. Denn laut technischem Datenblatt ist von 115 Kilogramm trocken die Rede. Also kommen folglich noch knapp acht Liter KRaftstoff, Motoröl und Kühlwasser hinzu, wobei wir locker die im Endurosport magische 120 Kilogramm-Grenze überschreiten wird.

Fantic XEF 250 4 stroke Enduro makes its market debut , a model that benefits from the winning legacy of the XE125 2 stroke in terms of power, aggressiveness, performance, versatility and control . The XEF250 proudly bring s the Fantic Factory Feeling even in such a competitive category as 250cc. XEF 250 4 stroke is another result of the Fantic philosophy undertaken with the “ NewRacingEra“: To develop the best racing bike ever and to pour all the experience gained into mass production.
A solid motorcycle, thanks to our industrial cooperation with Yamaha Motor Europe, on which Fantic has built and developed a new 250 cc 4 stroke Euro5 that today represents the perfect balance between maximum performance and maneuverability.
Engine
The „power unit“ of the Fantic XEF 250 Enduro is the high performance , light and reliable Yamaha 250 4 stroke with double overhead camshaft and ca m profile dedicated to E nduro use . XEF 250 has 6 speed transmission with gearing dedicated to Enduro , yet allow s smooth transfer to the road.
Top performance is achieved , thanks to the package developed in collaboration with Athena GET (ECU) and Arrow (exhaust). The new Fantic ECU, thanks to the dedicated app „WiGET “ available for Android and iOS, allows the users to manage the air fuel ratio and the ignition timing . From here it will be even easier to adapt the best mapping to any type of terrain and condition.
Great performance is derived from the new exhaust system developed in collaboration with Arrow , which delivers a further increase in value to the Fantic package.
Chassis
The new XEF 250 is easy and intuitive. The base frame is top notch . T he Yamaha perimeter aluminium frame works in perfect symbiosis with the Kayaba suspension. The SSS (Speed Sensitive System) 48mm fork with 310mm travel and Enduro setting s calibrated by the Fantic R acing department, adapts to various riding styles, providing performance at the highest level. The Kayaba monoshock (317mm
of wheel travel) is separately adjustable for preload, compression and rebound
Aluminium swingarm , DID rims 21×1.60 18×2.15 mount Metzeler Six Days Ext r eme t y res 90/90 21“ 1 3 0/90 18 ’’’’. The braking system is Nissin , top power and modulability with a 2 7 0mm disc on the front and 245mm on the rear.
Ergonomics
A great feeling with the bike is guaranteed. Ergonomically designed r adiator shrouds and rear plastics allow freedom of movement and control of the vehicle in every situation. The saddle has ahigh grip cover. The standard LED head light s guarantee great visibility , especially at night. The fuel tank, thanks to the 7 9 liter capacity, guarantees great autonom y. The engine guard and handguards are standard.
