The CRF150R was introduced in 2007 when Honda thought it could take over the 85cc two-stroke mini ranks with the first-true four-stroke racer for kids. They pushed hard to make it work, and many top riders today spent time on this machine. Justin Barcia rode this bike when it first came out in 2007. Cooper Webb spent time on the CRF150R, going head-to-head against Adam Cianciarulo, Hunter Yoder, and Carson Mumford, who also spent time on this bike while riding for the Geico Honda team. The Honda CRF150R’s Achilles heel has always been the carburetor, and in this video, we rip our Honda CRF150R test bike (equipped with a Lectron Pro-4 Series carburetor), and we compare it against Pasha’s Varner Racing-built 170cc Big-Bore four-stroke, which also has a Lectron.
