Matt Green has only seen snow twice in his life and this was his third time ever seeing snow and his first time actually getting to ride and play in it. We headed deep into the Colorado high country for backcountry snowbiking and Colorado snowmobiling. Let’s just say hard enduro skills transfer a lot better to snowbikes than snowmobiles. While 31 and his buddy Russel were absolutely smoking us in the backcountry, we were busy trying to figure out how to even ride the snowmobiles properly. Snowbiking in the Rocky Mountains is one thing, but Colorado snowmobiling humbled us real quick. Still, for a newbie in the snow, Matt absolutely killed it and proved once again that hard enduro guys can almost do it all. The next day we brought the family along to spectate skijoring in Grand Lake, Colorado, one of the wildest winter sports we have ever seen. Horses dragging skiers down a frozen main street in the middle of winter had our minds blown. I think the South African was more surprised than anyone. From deep powder riding in the Colorado backcountry to skijoring in Grand Lake, this was the full Colorado winter experience.
