It is finally here, after it was first presented to the public at the Milan Fair in 2023. Of course, it is no coincidence that Kawasaki acts as an importer, because Bimota has been part of Kawasaki Motors Europe N.V. since 2019. The Greens have taken up the cause of reviving the legendary Bimota brand and are also presenting a street heater with the designation KB399. In addition to the financial support of Bimota by Kawasaki, the engine delivery is also carried out by the Greens.
Therefore, the Bimota BX450 is also equipped with a current KX450F unit. In Italy, it has already been used in the popular Motorally and Raid TT racing series and has already claimed victories and championship titles.
Limited is the magic word, because there will definitely be no mass production. According to the manufacturer, the KX450F has been converted by Bimota into a race-ready sports enduro with typical Bimota craftsmanship to generate an impressive look and functionality in an unmistakable style, according to the original sound in the press release.
What does this entail? An ultra-light spur enduro, thanks to the KX motocross base for tough, i.e. race-oriented use. But what did Bimota do to achieve this?
